Simple looking, but truly a great livery indeed. Keeps its classic LH tail that really symbolizes German aviation at its finest.

After the bankruptcy and the following restructuring of Aerosvit Airlines it's rival "national" airline Ukraine International will take over some of the intercontinental destinations that Aerosvit is now dropping. Ukraine International will take over some of the Aerosvit 737s but all the Aerosvit 767s that were used for the long haul flights will be returned to their lessors.

For the new Ukraine International long haul flights they have bought/leased? 5 777-200 LRs from Air India. The 1st one will join the fleet in March, I imagine that the others will follow soon since Air India has been trying to get rid of these aircraft for quite some time.

Interesting development since one of my friends here tipped me that the former Aerosvit was run by a CEO who runs a huge oil firm in the Ukraine, and he told me that the airline suffered considerably from poor service. It should be a good sign that its competitor took over Aerosvit's operations, and that with the B77Ls, the airline can finally expand its long-haul services out from Kiev.

Excellent picture, the LH livery suits the 777 very well; supposedly they plan to phase in 5 777 to replace the oldest MD11's

Here's anothe pic:

From the cockpit, crossing at high altitude.

This is what you see and for having seen it in a cockpit, that's pretty cool.

Hmmm, usually, cockpits may not be accessed by airline passengers. How can someone like me access it to take aircraft photos? That would be truly spectacular if I can do it myself!

Anyways, back to topic. So it seems like the current favorite for the B777 is the -300ER model. Question: will it have a -300LR version, or what do you think would be the next model for the already-successful B777 family of aircraft? It's because it seems like there are a few versions operating at the moment: the B772, B772ER, B77L, B773, B77W, and B77F, and I would like to see more of them in the future, similar to the myriad of B737 models available and on operation.

Indeed, it's even more complicated to access the cockpit in flight since 9/11.
I'm lucky enough to know a few friends and family members working as pilots or flight attendants. But nowadays, I'm not even sure i could get access in a cockpit anymore.

What you can perfectly try though, is asking at the end of a flight to see the cockpit, and if the flight crew is not cocky or rude (that happens in a few carriers unfortunatly) I'd say you've got 80% chances of seeing it. Well in Europe at least, It might be more complicated in the US now I'm thinking about it.

And there is no 773LR in project, but a 777X family project, which would have new wings, engines and much more composite. It would compete with the A350-900 and 1000.

American Airlines 777-300ER new livery

But I think the previous livery shouts more USA than this does. Looks European. I would prefer if they kept the AA style logo

I like the modern look of AA, but as I noted, their logo should have retained at least the eagle as it has been an integral part of the airline's logo for a long time, not a complete Makeover.

Question: what makes you like the old livery of AA when the actual color of the aircraft exterior is aluminum, similar to the body used on every Boeing aircraft?
