Expansion of the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia

The expansion project involves converting into exhibition space the eastern wing of the General Staff Building - it stands opposite the Winter Palace.

During the project which is to be completed in 2013 not only about 100 rooms but also 5 courtyards will be turned into exhibition halls of the State Hermitage Museum. The eastern wing of the General Staff building will be dedicated to the arts of XIX - XXI centuries.
