Ah gotcha. If ThatOneGuy likes a building, it's clearly one of the 'nice' ones. If other people like older neoclassical or Art Deco structures, which TOG abhors, then they need to get over it and accept that ThatOneGuy has a monopoly on deeming buildings beautiful (and no one can post about anything TOG disapproves of). And TOG decrees that all of New York should look like this:

Henceforth, the Empire State Building is hideous, the Chrysler Building is banal and vainglorious, the Flatiron Building is sycophantic and the Rockefeller Center should be bulldozed and replaced by a modern art sculpture depicting a penguin shitting on a clown who's pissing on a nun (cause modern art is just so deep, ya know?) Maybe bulldoze West Village to build 50 of these:

A good try to combine old with the new so NYC will not lose its old identity while going to the future. HOWEVER it may have a hard time standing out in the skyline because of its low height.

At nearly 800 feet, it'll still have a commanding presence looking down Park Avenue:

515 Park avenue is 530 feet.

520 Park and its neighbors:

and among its competitors, what a great lineup we have going up in the city:

Could you possibly identify all the different buildings in that picture? It would certainly be helpful to those of us who are not familiar with all of them.

The graphic is also missing 50 West street and 125 Greenwich, both u/c and taller than 520 Park (50West by 1 foot I think)

I completely missed this building. I had no idea it existed till a few days ago. I wish these were supertalls instead of the glass ones.

So good that it has the right to say "the tower".

As much as I like 99 Church, this will probably exceed it. Already looking like a gem that needs to be here and based on its design and materials, one that was meant to grace the skyline.
