It's stunning how nice the facade looks up close but how unfinished it looks at a distance.

I can't wait to see the crown of this tower. I am curious how much more it has to go until it reaches its full height?

The line of buildings at bottom left; what street is that?

Park Avenue and 68th. You can see the unmistakable windows of the Pratt Mansion by Delano & Aldrich.

I agree. They have a faux aged look about them.

I made comment above that the cladding, from a distance, looks bare and unfinished.

The limestone and the windows look fantastic.

Looking at that photo showing the threesome of this tower flanked by the Pierre on the left and the Sherry-Netherland on the right, I still wish that Stern had incorporated some copper features at the top of 520 Park.

For one of the newer 'thin' buildings in NYC, I really am enjoying this one's design. I like that it's more of a testament to older skyscraper designs in the city

The nitpicks can't be taken too seriously. Even in an unfinished state, and even with a mostly false facade facing the park, this tower complements the Pierre and the Sherry-Netherland very well. 90% or more of the alternatives would be much worse, so this gets an A.

It gets an A from you, friend-o. Not from me as well as many other people on this site. This is a B- at best so far.

That's okay and to be expected. Chicagoans tend to grade buildings on a 1960s modernist curve.

Restores some balance to the skyline down Park Avenue.
