Why is Tapei 101 so hated?
Its honestly not that bad a building. Its tall, huge and intimidating. A true skyscraper. I find it far more interesting than the highly overrated petronas towers. It uses intelligent engineering to survive in a earthquake zone.

it's not that bad... just maybe it lacks of really nice facade? I actually kinda like it, a very true landmark for Taiwan, maybe because of its facade makes it lack of fancy high class look? I duno what you think but i think Bank of China Tower glass makes it overrated, imagine bank of china tower with taipai 101 green stone facade... ugly hell...

I like it. The desing is quite unusual and has some national spirit. Color is very nice for me. But I like Petronas too

In terms of design, i would choose Petronas over 101
 Never really liked Taipei 101's design.

I suppose it looks alright from a distance, but the closer you get the worse it looks.
Small pagoda on a skyscraper combined with that awful colour just looks wrong and as a result its just plain ugly :P
