No cheating at all! Every skyscraper has its peculiar carachteristic..Unicredit Tower is not known for its height, but for its circular shape that ends in an endless spire. From this angle you can see it better than other visuals. To tell the truth, this will be the main visual to peole who will carry trough the promenade of Porta Nuova, when it will be completed,so no cheatings

@_Mort_: that's a nice picture but there is no way you can cramp that into an image the size 330 x 330 pixels without leaving parts of the building out, or changing the aspect ratio.

The current picture of Skytower is a render, while the other towers have real pics. Is it possible to replace the image with this one?

My Favorites

1) Flame Towers - Baku
2) Al Bahar Towers - Abu Dhabi
3) The Shard - London

My top three:

1. Garibaldi Unicredit Tower - Milan
2. The Shard - London
3. Flame Towers - Baku

In my opinion, the Unicredit skyscraper has redefined the skyline of Milan.

It is a fact that the best landmarks are easily recognizable and can be sketched with only a few strokes of a pen. The Unicredit is now the pinacle of Milan's landscape and is unmistakingly now a symbol of Milan on par with the Duomo!

Good luck to all contestants.

Here is the tournament line up, click the matches for voting. We vote on one match per day, once a match started, you have 7 days to vote. After that, the winner moves on to the next round.

Yes, by about a week. Plus the nominated building had to be completed in 2012. See OP.

Round 1 has the 16 tallest completed against the 16 nominated towers, but it seems the latter are all winning. Supertall in todays context doesn't seem to be the popular choice it seems.

I think the Shard is the only supertall that for sure will win the 1st round.
