Note: Just a forewarning, I took these shots on a chilly Thursday morning before a lot of people began showing up and I didn't get shots of much bustle. After I was done taking photos I noticed quite a bit of activity including business people in suits, locals doing Christmas shopping, and homeless people.

All shots from my Flickr account

Some shots of Downtown, Jackson has a historical society which has placed plaques on all the buildings, many of the buildings were built in the 1840's and 50's!

Small downtown bookstore I stopped at, friendly owner

The 1950's Greyhound Bus Station, didn't want to take a closer shot with my expensive camera as there were about 20-30 homeless people sitting/lying on it's front lobby area and Jackson is known for a high crime rate

so far, I'm seeing a nice seemingly vibrant city... can't wait to see the rest of your shots.

It's cool to see you're enjoying walking around with the camera, Musiccity! Looking forward to seeing more of your shots from the South. I hope you'll get a chance to show us a bit of Mississippi, a state I know next to nothing about.

One tip I might suggest on future wanderings: try to get full buildings into the frame, if you can, so we can see how they relate to their surroundings.

Anyway, Jackson looks like a very pleasant little town. Do you have family there?
