You can't guarantee that park 432 will be that bad before its built, lol. I have a hard time understanding the hatred of this tower. Miami has many towers that won't hold a candle to the quality of park 432, believe me.

Zaha Hadid's Biscayne Tower Will Be 706 ft Tall

Quote:
Okay, folks. For those just desperate for news, any news, of Zaha Hadid's new downtown Miami condo tower, we've got a little nugget for you. It will be 706 feet tall according to exMiami. That's nine feet shorter than the building to the south, 900 Biscayne, and about 119 feet taller than the building to the north, 10 Museum Park. So, the buildings in this section of the Biscayne Wall that are packed cheek-to-jowel together, like any self respecting New York skyscraper (Hello Manhattanization of Miami!) will also be of reasonably similar height.

New name: One Thousand Museum

Sotheby's is the newly named broker for residential units.

Zaha Hadid's 1000 Museum Will Be Announced ASAP

Quote:
Miami Condo Investments has heard that the new Zaha Hadid skyscraper, which will be called 1000 Museum will be formally announced next week. However, they reported this on Saturday, which totally means they could be talking about this week, which means Curbed is holding its breath in anticipation for the official press release of the biggest thing to happen in Miami since pink flamingos to land in our inbox.

Sounds interesting. Though I don't this Zaha Hadid or any of her work.

In any case Miami needs something more striking in its skyline than it is today. Miami has all the potential to be a magnet for all the reach folks of the world sort of like Dubai is striking to be. It just need more development and exclusivity in certain areas.

Preliminary render courtesy of Curbed Miami

Looks ridiculous in my opinion, but at least it adds some variety to the skyline.

I like it!

The problem with residentials in Miami are the balconies that buyers and developers demand. They detract from the kind of twisty streamlined aesthetic that Hadid is known for. Looking forward to detailed renders and more info on cladding materials (metallic? or classic Miami white?).

Looks like an insect crawling up the side of the building! It will now be known as the "insect" tower which is quite fitting for Miami's humid tropical weather! (Yes there are bugs that big in Miami!!)

You had to go there. We have enough of a problem with giant Burmese pythors.

More About 1000 Museum

Quote:
The Wall Street Journal [sic] had a few details about just how big of a deal this klingon-esque tower is. Here's a quick recap: (A) It will be really expensive, especially for downtown Miami (B) The units, either half-floor or full floor, are biiiig (C) The balconies, which are apparently not Zaha's cup of tea, are designed to be visually obscured by the exoskeleton (D) they plan to start construction by the beginning of next year (E) there is some obscurity as to the source of the funding (but considering how much high-end real estate is traded in cash around here, we don't exactly see what the big problem is).
