I love the gigantic dimensions of the building but not the style really....all in all 7.5 for me.

Any chance of some interior shots? If the interiors are good it might rate 9.5/10, but without seeing them I can only give 9/10.

I was a moron and I stayed only 2 days in Budapest (too short) and 5 in Prague (too long).

So visited Budapest like a Japanese tourist (but had time to go everywhere but very fast).

Here are my images of the interior. We were only allowed to enter the main hall, because parliament was in session. Flash was not allowed eighter. The guide told us that there are 13 km of red carpet in the building!

Some more exterior shots

It is one very impressive building. 9.5

Can't wait to see it completely cleaned!

It's a tad overly "fussy" imo. As though a Canadian chateau met St. Peters and decided to have a threesome with a Bavarian castle. But impressive it still stands, despite the messy next day brunch.

I like it for its bravado. 8.5

Someon mentioned how unique the dome is and i never noticed until now how right they are.

I cannot think of any other neo-gothic domes anywhere, definitely not as stunning and natural as that. Anyone know of any others?

^In fact it's very rare to find Neo-Gothic domes, apart from this one in budapest I only know this one from the Cathedral of São Paulo in Brazil, and the masterpiece of Florence, that mixes gothic and Renaissance elements.
