Airbus delivers two A330 aircraft to China Eastern Airlines and Scandinavian Airlines

Airbus has delivered one A330-200 widebody aircraft and a new A330-300 242t maximum take-off weight (MTOW) variant aircraft to Scandinavian Airlines.
The A330 is powered by a Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engine, and is the 50th aircraft Airbus has delivered to China Eastern Airlines.

It's nice to see Airbus has revised the flap mechanism fairing.

I don't think SAS ordered an A330-200... It would more likely be an additional A330-300.

By the way, since SAS will launch a nonstop Stockholm-Los Angeles next year on a A330-300, is there a possibility that the airline can switch aircraft types on its daily Copenhagen-San Francisco from the A340-300 so that it can enjoy a newer, refreshed cabin? Or is the cabin with the A333 similar to the A343?

Perhaps SAS could launch daily Stockholm-San Francisco too (but at the expense of 3x weekly Norwegian operating out of Oakland already with the B787)...

SAS is about to renew all their cabins.

The 4 old A330's has been renewed and will be joined by the 4 new A330 Enhanced.

Left is the 8 A340's, the first 4 will get the new cabin here in 2015.

Rumor is that 3 more will get the new cabin in the first half year of 2016, just before the Stockholm - LAX route opens and Copenhagen - New York starts using 330/340 on the evening departure (now its private Air's 737 with a all business cabin, after new years eve it will be with 20 business seats and 60 regular seats)

The Last A340 is as far as i believe a rental and comes in the same configuration as when LAN used it.

Maybe the refurbished A343s will feature full lie-flat (180-degree) seats in Business Class (perhaps in a staggered format similar to the new A330-300s)... what do you think of that possibility?

Here's the layout of the new A333 cabin (from Seatguru), with J32 W56 Y178:

As far as I know the layout will be similar on both types.

440 passengers is maximum certified limit for the A333. And Lion will use this very high maximum 1-class density lay-out on their A330s on order.

The Max Take of Weight is not correct though, but it's probably just a typo on the document, instead of 292 it should be 242 metric tons.

Uggghhhh Why is it hard to determine an A330/340 to its counterparts Boeing ...

What could be the parts or determinants if we could tell that is an Airbus or Boeing? ... Thanks ...

The 242t is the Maximum Take-off Weight (MTOW). This new version of the A330-300 can take off with a higher weight then the earlier versions. Which means that it can take more fuel, increasing the range of the plane.
In other words, it's a new and improved update of the A330-300. It got a new aerodynamic package, engine improvements and an optional centre fuel tank.

The different wing-tips should be the most noticeable difference. And furthermore it's just a matter of paying attention. looking more at more at planes to spot small differences. At some point you will just know it when you see a plane.

Its easy to determine an A319-A320 variants due to its bulbous nose on its front, plus the wheel doors on it ...

But A330-A340 ... Im paying attention to its wing tips plus the its whole body, also the wheel doors on it ...

I do hope I could study much some parts of the plane which differ from Airbus to Boeing l.. Thanks Momo1435

The rear of the A330/340 fuselage has sort of a banana-like shape (it seems curved upwards). Both the 767 and 777 have a clearly different shape.
