Here are the dates for the convertion of the last of SAS 340-300.

OY-KBM - 23rd of January (has just departed for Zürich for convertion)
LN-RKG - 19th March
OY-KBC - 30th of May
OY-KBD - 29th of June

OY-KBI has just returned with new cabin and internet connection.

The last airplane they have rented from LAN/Airbus (LN-RKP) will not be converted so I think they will return in when the lease is over.
It will only be a backup plane when OY-KBM returns in service.

The last two A330 Enhanced will be delivered this spring and LN-RKT is soon ready.

And a google street view of the new cabins.

Finally got a glimpse of this aircraft after a long wait... and it's my flag carrier too!

Philippine Airlines A340-300 (reg. RP-C3435)

This one is the first flight from Manila for the day (PR114/115), which is operated during peak travel times (Christmas, New Year, Chinese New Year, summer vacation). The second flight from Manila is the one that operates year-round (PR104/105), which mostly sees the Boeing 777-300ER (although an A343 is occasionally sent in instead).

Those engines look like they were designed in 1960.

Those engines are CFM-56 and they are the best-selling turbofan engines in the history of aviation, with almost 30.000 built for the A320, A340 and B737.

Iran ordered 45 A330 variants today, a mix of ceo and neo. No mention of them taking any A340s out of the 20 odd that Airbus have available after part ex deals....however temporarily until the newer orders are filled.

The Airbus accord covers 45 single-aisle planes comprising 21 from the current-generation A320 family and 24 re-engined A320neos, the company said. The 73 wide-body aircraft ordered include 27 A330s, 18 A330neos, 16 of Airbus’s latest A350s -- in the stretched -1000 variant -- plus the A380s.

There was speculation that Iran Air might take some of the 22 A340s that Airbus are trying to get rid of in order to get services up and running quick.

However the number of s/h A340s available from Airbus after the Iranian announcement is still 22.

Wow I had never seen that before, why's that? The stairs seem to take more space than the normal restrooms?

Edit: Oh I see, they placed the 4 restrooms together! that's a great solution from Airbus actually
