I have a problem too Patel and I have reported your floods of planespotters.in spam for what they are, pure spam.

Stick to news which can sometimes involve a graphic or photo.

Nobody can see the news in here sometimes with all the planespotting crap which should be in the photos subforum and this is very offputting.

Guess what, most of us here are Aviation fanatics as well but we don't want discussion threads to be flooded with Planespotting pics. You can't promise because you have an obsession...an obsession of posting pics everywhere, especially pics of planespotting from Indian airports or of Indian airliners.

Patel please stop flooding threads with photo spam , I told you to post photos in the photo section here.. < Aviation Photo section I need this section to help me with something.. I need individual threads to be created for each Aircraft , so when you report the posts I can move the photos into the photo section instead of deleting them...

OK I'll give an educated guess.

Many airlines have ordered A330ceo frames IN ORDER to give themselves the option of converting the order to A330neo in future. The trick is not to get the bloody things delivered until you are sure which way to go.

The big variable in selectin -ceo or -neo is how long it takes to get OPEC 2.0 ( including Russia) to mutually balance out their exports with real world demand for oil, that will surely cause Jet A prices to rocket compared to where they are now. They may do so in 2016, it may take them until 2018 based on the failed Doha meeting last week....I don't know to be honest. It will eventually happen.

Countries like India and Ireland who import all their Oil will take a hit when it does happen. In the meantime we are in a happy time with fat margins which can be used to pay down debt.

Over the next 2-5 years you will see a lot of conversions A330ceo-A330neo and also A350-nnn - A330neo as oil prices settle. But the important thing is to have a slot on the production line and to renegotiate around that before the parts go into production.

I'm sure Jet Airways will make a decision in H2 2017 on what they actually want. All things considered.

As per flightradar24, two days ago Iberia operated a Madrid-Montevideo flight with EC-LUX, an A330-302. The distance is almost 10.000 km and the flight took 12:19 hours on the way to MVD and 11:41 on the way back. This is clearly beyond the range of at least the 235t A330-300s. Does anyone have a guess on how and why they did that?

my guess would be, possibly the aircraft wasn't fully loaded, either it was half-empty or even less than half empty. The lesser the load, the more range you can fly given you carry enough fuel (I'm just assuming) but the max range of a fully-loaded A330-300 is actually 11,750 KM, so given that if the plane wasn't even fully loaded, it would definitely be able to cover that distance without a problem

Yes. The cockpits will be the same. Neo gets the A350 cockpit.

The wiki page is wrong, they have no A330-300's on order right now.

http://www.airbus.com/company/market/orders-deliveries/

They do still have open orders for 5 A330-200's that was placed in 2007. But considering that they are currently trying hard to offload the majority of their widebody fleet it's unlikely they will ever be delivered as A330ceo or A330neo's for that matter.

Excited for this! I would have hoped that they made a beluga "XXL" that would fit A380 parts but I guess that would be impractical now.
