Not sure about the cabin configuration ! But most probably AVOD are expected ! As far as I know , Afriqiyah now owns some of Libyan's stakes , and they would probably sprinkle some of their comfort touchs in to it !

It will come from Gulf Air. Last month they stored 4 of their A330-200s, it will probably be one of those that will go to Tame. But there's not too much info on the internet about it, so I can't find an actual or even a planned delivery date.

That's interesting. I thought GF still operates A330s for its long-haul flights? If there are four in storage, I wonder if those are the airline's older A330s... And should TAME Ecuador get one of those A332s, I suspect that it will be used for Ecuador-Spain flights, if not the US or Brazil.

The 4 stored A330s were actually their 4 youngest that joined the fleet in 2009, although only 1 of them was factory new. The other 3 had served with MEA since 2003 before going to Gulf Air through ILFC. They probably came to the end of their lease, or the lease was ended prematurely. Which would not be that surprising considering the current financial state of Gulf Air. So TAME probably picked one of them up through ILFC. But again, there's to little info on the internet to actually confirm this.

They will use the plane for a new JFK service, btw their 1st service to the USA. It should start in May, but it doesn't seem to be bookable on their website yet.

And by the way, speaking of AR's A340s, what makes you say the A330s will be much better than the A340, aside from a smaller size and PTVs? Do any of AR's A340s have PTVs, if at all?
Well I said that even in case those A330 keep their current interiors they would "still be better" than their A340-200, not "much better". The main reason is that the latter have much older interiors, without PTV in economy and a very basic system in business, which just features classic reclining seats, neither lie-flat nor full-flat.

Aerolνneas probably won't be making huge investments in new interiors on leased second-hand planes, which is understandable. They are already loosing too much money and at the same time their market is rather low-yielding and doesn't necessarily require offering top-notch high-tech seats with inflight entertainment. Their interiors will probably get much better once they take a long-term decision regarding their long-haul fleet.

Only one A340 is ex-Air France, and it has the same interiors Air France still uses on its remaining A340. The other three -313X came from Cathay Pacific and have similar interiors. It's not state-of-the-art, but I wouldn't call it "horribly outdated". The -200 are a different story, of course.

Almost certainly not, since they are trying to increase their competitiveness on the route by offering more frequency and less capacity. They will soon offer five daily flights between both capitals (one from Ezeiza, the rest from Aeroparque), all of them operated by Austral's EMB-190.

An air bridge collapsed as a Cathay Pacific flight was pushing back from the gate at Hong Kong International today.

Reports say Cathay Pacific Flight 532, an Airbus A330, was starting to push back when the jet bridge collapsed and fell on to the ground (see photo). The falling bridge also ripped the door off of the jet.

There are no reports of any passengers being injured as they were already seated in the plane.

The only injury being reported so far is the air bridge operator and those injuries are minor.

The jet bridge was destroyed and damage to the aircraft is substantial.

The cause of the incident is of course being investigated.
