Geodesic dome architecture

After experiencing a brief period of popularity in the 1960s and 1970s, primarily in America, the Geodesic dome architecture for personal residences had been all but forgotten until recently. Today, there is a bit of Geodesic domes renaissance in the U.S.

It is a design that, arguably, offers sturdier structures for less cost, than their traditional counterparts.

Today there are companies that provide construction do-it-yourself kits or can build your Geodesic dome themselves for you.

Apart from being well resistant to a number of natural disasters, they're also pretty cool looking



I'm actually considering building a geodesic dome house, but it's nothing more than a wish at this moment.
