One's a building and the other's a collection of buildings.

Torre Sacyr Vallehermoso (or PwC) is quite underrated. It's by far the most overlooked in the 'big four' Madrid cluster, and, for me, it's the most beautiful of the Spanish skyscrapers.

Chicago Temple Building, a cute, hidden Gothic tower. I actually find the white spire classier than the green or brown spires of the more famous Gothic skyscrapers.

Underrated and under-acknowledged considering its height.

20 Exchange Place is a great one in my eyes. Often overlooked because of taller, more famous NYC Art Deco skyscrapers like ESB, Chrysler, GE, 70 Pine, and 40 Wall, but there's something about it that's so amazing. It has really interesting setbacks due to the weird shape of its lot, fantastic ornamentation, perfectly spaced proportions, and it's white. Also, it overshadows my favorite intersection in NYC.

Solow Building, NYC: The contrast in color, clean cut lines, perfect curve, and reflective glass is amazing.

I wonder how many people knew of the wall art at the base of the old WTC7?

1 Liberty Plaza has an amazing pattern of steel, yet there's always those shallow-minded people who refuse to see its true beauty, preferring to childishly call it a 'boring box' simply because it isn't tacked up with some random ornament... they are too lazy to search for the defining aspects of structures like these and instead need ornaments to do the work for them.

I don't know any other skyscraper that has an exterior framework of thick horizontal black I-beams like this one does...

It's no coincidence. The building was originally built for the company U.S. Steel. Nice incorporation of the company's industry into the building's exterior.

Oh, and congrats on your 7,500th post!

What about the South African Reserve Bank in Pretoria, South Africa? I love its unique shape and it's hardly ever mentioned

so right. It's the I beams that make the facade of this building. People may also be a bit deterred by its brutal appearance.

The great 4 in Madrid make such a nice ensemble. Torre Sacyr Vallehermoso and the Crystal tower are my favourites of the 4.
Sacyr Vallehermoso because of its great facade and overall design and the Crystal tower because it shines like a crystal (that requires a minimalist facade of plain glass).

I love Solow, she's so sleek and elegant!
And I'm also an original 7 WTC and One Liberty Plaza fan, One Liberty looks like it could kick some asses and take names, big time.
