Hong Kong has a ton of stunning modern towers that don't get nearly enough recognition.

I've always had a big soft spot for The Lipstick (love the curves) and especially the Citicorp Center (it's not the most exciting tower ever, but it sure is iconic as hell), and I don't get the impression many share that sentiment...

I really like those two towers too, really interesting geometric shapes...

Love it. Detracts from the cubic shape of 99% of skyscrapers. I'm a sucker for cylinders.

I like the square red one. The other one is too organic for my tastes.

I really dislike the cladding for the lipstick building, looks like something from a commieblock, but redish.

I LUV that building...altho when it was built in the 80s, its nickname was the Trashcan building because a lot of trashcans in bedrooms and hotel rooms were the oval ones.

BTW, its most infamous or notorious tenant was....the one and only BIGGEST Ponzi schemer of all time, Bernie Madoff!!

Duke Energy HQ / Charlotte

The building is lit up in different color schemes for holidays and other events like Charlotte's annual LGBT Festival, 4th of July, etc..

The 1400 Smith or ex-Enron building in Houston, Texas is really beautiful and very under rated in my opinion. It kind of looks like the 'lipstick' or Citicorp posted above. I think they where both desinged by the same architect, Lloyd Brewer.

I was a bit surprised a few of Bangkok's shorter beauties are not frequently brought up :

Now that one has good cladding!

Another one is 17 State Street, one of the most noticeable buildings from the NYC harbour, but it's rarely mentioned.

GT Tower, Makati, Philippines. If this baby were a bit taller, it would've given Manila the iconic tower it's craving for.
