Suggestion that the launch customer for the Max 8 may now be Norwegian and in late Q1 17, just in time to launch transatlantic (ex Ireland) flights in the summer season, 3 months or more before SW gets their first deliveries.

https://leehamnews.com/2016/09/14/ma...ross-atlantic/

I think it can do Mar-Oct no problem but that winter jet stream westbound may be too much.

Great piece by Leeham News saying (among many things) that 737 Max 8 Frame #11 is in assembly now.

https://leehamnews.com/2016/10/11/11...ery-next-year/

First delivery now tentatively in March 2017.

They also say that a Max-8 for Ryanair is largely complete, eh??? I thought they only ordered Max 200s

Not sure where he is getting the RyanAir frames that are completed. I've only seen Southwest and Lion Air.

Might have fleetingly spotted a Ryanair -800 parked near the row of complete SW Frames you posted a photo of Woody.

Elsewhere, Wired Magazine beat Woody to the draw with their video report on the inside of 787 Max #1 (the first prototype)

AlaskaAir is due to take delivery of a very special 737-900ER wearing a "Honoring Those Who Have Served" livery. Currently hidden at BFI. Has been doing all test flights under the cover of darkness as BOE302.

LOT will also get 4 737-800s from Aercap in April 2017.

The 1st MAX will also be delivered next year, but only in November.

I think Norwegian will get the first Max in March and the second and maybe even the third. We will know all by christmas, latest.

LOT are quite far up the list really.
