Super pics, Chris. Is that white Max definitely 5948? There's some conflicting info around over its ID with different l/ns quoted for it. Is there any supporting evidence why it's that frame and not one of the other 3? What ln is their yellow tail one?

I'm 100% confident it's LN5948. Their yellow tail MAX is back inside the factory.

Hex code AE57D0 showed in Seattle 2/3/17, presume this is the permanant hex code for P-8A 169011, The sequence will change from 169324 onwards.

I did too. A local spotter caught it leaving last week and told me about it while waiting to see if the MAX was going or not.

In-case people are wondering. The first Norwegian 737-8 MAX fuselage still has not arrived. Today LN6353 & 6354 arrived. So sometime next week LN6360 for NLH should be arrived to start Final Assembly.

Max 737-9 Roll out is scheduled for 9 AM March 7th

Watch your twitter feeds on March 7th around 9:20 AM as that is when the embargo is lifted on releasing pictures of the 737-9 MAX Roll out. One of my colleagues is covering it and will have pictures for our Blog.

The (or one of) yellow tail MXD Max frames is now back in storage again on the west side at RNT. Prsumably either 1A202 or 1A203. SWA 1A011 has now made an appearance and parked with it.

That is N8708Q behind it. This is LN6034 for Lion Air.

Nice one Chris, thanks. It's got LNI winglets but has the base color for MXD/BTK livery on the rudder so will it get Lion Air livery or Batik? As we've seen with their NGs, they have a bad reputation for changing the allocations within the group at short notice.

Boeing "soft launched" the 737 MAX 10X today.

From the blog of Randy Tinseth, vice president, marketing for Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

http://www.boeingblogs.com/randy/arc...max_10x_1.html

Quote:
"You’ve probably heard a lot about our studies of a new stretched variant of the 737 MAX. Today at ISTAT Americas in San Diego, I confirmed that Boeing is actively engaged in discussions with customers about the 737 MAX 10X. In fact, we’ve already extended business offers to some of those customers.

This would be a relatively minor development program. The MAX 10X would follow the MAX 200 and MAX 7, with entry into service in the 2020 time frame."

Looks great but if certain "industry experts" are to be believed, it can't make it from one side of a large city to the other without needing to stop to refuel and it needs a runway the size of a small country in order to get airborne.

Boeing claimed it can outrange an A321neo

https://leehamnews.com/2017/03/06/bo...10/#more-22571

Quote:
“When this airplane is launched, and we hope it will be this year,” he claimed that the MAX 10 will have more range than the A321neo and carry the same number of passengers as the neo.
He had EVEN more fighting talk ....so like BOO Airbus.

Quote:
Tinseth claimed the MAX 10 will have 5% lower trip and seat-mile costs than the A321neo., resulting in $1m per year in savings.
