Last thursday I saw a 737-300 from Fly Jordan at Antalya Aiport that appearently got leased to Royal Wings Airlines.

No big news at all, but check out its terrible paintjob at the 'Royal Wings' logo and the vertical stabilizer:

I looks pretty hilarious to me. Any thoughts on this? How can this happen?

ALC has firmed up it's commitment for 12 737-MAX from the airshow in June.

The deal include 5 737-7.

Here some shots taken inside PK-LQF. In the 737 MAX cockpit, the mid console, glareshield, overhead panel and the circuit breaker panels are mostly the same with the 737NG. The passenger cabin is also 90% the same with a 737NG Sky Interior, only some details like in the front galley looks better, obviously more Airbus style.

In case anyone's wondering about the Chinese Max regos, there will be nothing on them until the type is certified in China. They'll all fly with temp N sticker regos in the interim. Boeing shows blanks for them all on their intranet.

It's the info that was on the sign attached to the wings in RNT along with the placard seen on the fuselage in pre assembly.

Interesting. Their first one isn't due until 2019 and I estimate ln 6560 will fly mid to late October + 5 months mod time puts it ready for delivery mid to late March 2018. That aside, ln 6560 is showing for US Navy and has a US Navy serial already allocated. It's not beyond the realms of possibilities that there's been a switcheroo but the intranet was not showing any change as of Wednesday this week.

I was wrong with my due date above. According to the UK MOD themselves, they are not expecting their first one until 2020.

My best guess would be that it is/they are being delivered to the US Navy first then being transferred to the Royal Air Force at some point after.

American Airlines' first Max made first flight yesterday. Pic of it arriving at BFI (greenie) : https://tykesaeroblog.blogspot.com/2...4ra-first.html

I wonder what will be next? WestJet or one of the Chinese ones perhaps?

I assume no US airline will be allowed to nip in ahead of SW so I'll hazard a Chinese delivery first unless Trump starts a trade war....oh wait!.

I think Southwest's 8708 & 9 will likely be next as both of those are in prep stalls and have had their systems switched on quite a lot recently as they've been pinging on ADS-B.

The SilkAir was last seen in the storage area on the west side and I think the WestJet had been moved back to the lake.

Japan TransOcean Air's next NG will be worth keeping an eye on as it will be getting a special livery according to my sources.

In other news I've been informed that Southwest's NG N8542Z has had an undisclosed "incident" at ATS up at Paine Field and requires some rework before it can fly. Checking FR24 it has been at PAE for over a month now when usually the wifi and scimitar install takes around 1 week to complete. Maybe the PAE experts have some additional info on that one.

I have this feeling that we'll be seeing a lot of 737 MAX 8 deliveries before the end of 2017 because I can see CFM International concentrating on producing the LEAP-1B engine first.

Nice job. This forum took a major hit today with the loss of Woody.

He was the best contributor we had.
