Boeing, CDB Aviation Finalize Order for 52 737 MAXs and Eight 787 Dreamliners
Quote:
$7.4 billion deal first announced at 2017 Paris Air Show

Puts 737 MAX program over 4,000 orders

SEATTLE, Nov. 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Boeing [NYSE:BA] and CDB Aviation today finalized an order for 42 737 MAX 8s, 10 737 MAX 10s and eight 787-9 Dreamliners.

Boeing [NYSE:BA] and CDB Aviation today finalized an order for 42 737 MAX 8s, 10 737 MAX 10s and eight 787-9 Dreamliners. The order puts the 737 MAX program over 4,000 orders total.

The order, valued at $7.4 billion at current list prices, was announced as a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the 2017 Paris Air Show. The order includes a conversion of six 737 MAX 8 orders, to the 737 MAX 10.

CDB Aviation, one of the largest and most influential Chinese-owned aviation leasing companies, is part of the launch customer group for the 737 MAX 10, the newest member of Boeing's 737 MAX family.

"The 737 MAX and the 787 Dreamliner are some of the most advanced, most fuel-efficient airplanes in the world today," said CDB Aviation President and Chief Executive Officer Peter Chang. "We're confident that the reliability, efficiency and superior economics of the MAX and Dreamliner families will be very appealing to our customers."

Boeing did book the order last week, just at 48 instead of 52 737s, so 4 must have been booked earlier, before 2017.

Net order totals this year:
737 net orders: 46 NG and 396 MAX

This makes WestJet another 737-10 customer, but no more 737-9s for them.
Yes, they will have 12 737-MAX10 on order. Maybe in the future, they can orders more new aircraft.

The -10 is the MAX version with the least advertised range, it's not the go to aircraft for transatlantic flights.

A safe bet is that they will be used on the busiest Caribbean and Mexico flights.

Boeing, ALAFCO Finalize Order for 20 737 MAX 8s

Quote:
Lessor doubles down on MAX, to support ALAFCO's future growth
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, Nov. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Boeing [NYSE: BA] and ALAFCO Aviation Lease and Finance Company (ALAFCO) finalized an order for 20 additional 737 MAX 8s at the 2017 Dubai Airshow, doubling the lessor's order book for the MAX airplane.

Kuwait-based ALAFCO, a global provider of commercial aircraft leasing products, now has 40 737 MAXs on order. The deal, valued at $2.2 billion at current list prices, was announced as a commitment at the Paris Air Show.

"Our customers rely on fuel-efficiency, reliability and low operating costs to be successful and the 737 MAX aircraft will meet the needs of our customers, and support ALAFCO's future growth," said Adel A. Albanwan, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, ALAFCO. "We have had success with the 737 family in the past and are confident the 737 MAX will continue to help grow our business."

The 737 MAX family offers the greatest flexibility, reliability and efficiency in the single-aisle market, with eight percent lower operating costs than its main competitor.

"We are pleased to grow our partnership with ALAFCO and support their fleet expansion," said Boeing Commercial Airplanes President & CEO Kevin McAllister. "The 737 MAX 8's ability to fly further than the competition while using less fuel is one of many reasons why customers like ALAFCO have helped make the 737 MAX the fastest-selling airplane in Boeing history."

The 737 MAX has surpassed 4,000 total orders to date. The MAX family incorporates the latest technology CFM International LEAP-1B engines, Advanced Technology winglets and other improvements to deliver the highest efficiency, reliability and passenger comfort in the single-aisle market.

Now with press release from Boeing:

Boeing, flydubai Sign Historic Deal for 225 737 MAX Airplanes

http://boeing.mediaroom.com/2017-11-...-MAX-Airplanes

Quote:
Valued at $27 billion, deal is largest single-aisle jet purchase by a Middle East airline

Airline commits to the newly launched 737 MAX 10, MAX 9s and more MAX 8s

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, Nov. 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Boeing [NYSE: BA] and flydubai signed a landmark agreement today for 225 737 MAX airplanes with a list price value of $27 billion. The deal represents the largest-ever single-aisle jet order – by number of airplanes and total value – from a Middle East carrier.

Signed at the 2017 Dubai Airshow in flydubai's hometown, the agreement includes a commitment for 175 MAX airplanes, and purchase rights for 50 additional MAXs. When finalized, the purchase promises to sustain tens of thousands of direct and indirect jobs in Boeing's U.S. factories and network of suppliers.

More than 50 of the first 175 airplanes will be 737 MAX 10s, the newest and largest member of the 737 MAX family. The MAX 10 will have the lowest seat-mile cost of any single-aisle airplane ever produced. flydubai said the balance of the initial airplane order will be made up of the popular MAX 8 and MAX 9, giving the carrier a family of airplanes with high commonality and low operating costs.

This new deal surpasses the flydubai's previous record order of 75 MAXs and 11 Next-Generation 737-800s which was signed at the 2013 Dubai Airshow.

"We welcome the continuation of our long partnership with Boeing. Their airplanes have provided a foundation for the success of our business model, providing us with the operational flexibility and range to build a network of 95 destinations in 44 countries," said flydubai Chairman His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum. "Understanding the demand for travel across our network, our innovative approach to our cabin design and developing a product unique to our market has allowed us to exceed our passengers' expectations in their flying experience."

"We are extremely honored that flydubai has selected to be an all-Boeing operator for many years to come. This record-breaking agreement builds on our strong partnership with flydubai and the other leading carriers of this region," said Boeing Commercial Airplanes President & CEO Kevin McAllister. "With flydubai's proven business model and ambitious growth plans, we look forward to hundreds of flydubai 737 MAXs connecting Dubai with the rest of the world."

The 737 MAX is the fastest-selling airplane in Boeing history, having surpassed 4,000 total orders from 92 customers. The MAX family incorporates the latest technology CFM International LEAP-1B engines, Advanced Technology winglets and other improvements to deliver the highest efficiency, reliability and passenger comfort in the single-aisle market.

flydubai placed its first order for 50 Next-Generation 737-800s in 2008 and was the world's first airline to introduce the Boeing Sky Interior into service. To date, flydubai has taken delivery of 63 737-800s and three 737 MAX 8 airplanes.

I'm not surprised at the flydubai order. Mostly because they fly a LOT of regional routes out of DXB and their current 737 fleet is in need of replacement over the next ten years.

Avolon has firmed up their commitment from the Paris Airshow.

Boeing, Avolon Finalize Deal for 75 737 MAX Airplanes

Quote:
Agreement includes firm orders for 55 MAX 8s, 20 MAX 10s and options for 20 MAX 8s

Dublin-based lessor joins growing customer base of the 737 MAX 10, the newest member of Boeing's 737 MAX family

SEATTLE, Nov. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Boeing (NYSE: BA) and Avolon, the international aircraft leasing company, today finalized an order for 75 737 MAX airplanes. The confirmed order is for 55 MAX 8s and 20 MAX 10s, with options for 20 additional MAX 8s.

The agreement, announced as a memorandum of understanding at the 2017 Paris Air Show, is valued at nearly $11 billion at list prices including the 75 firm and 20 option aircraft.

Launched at the 2017 Paris Air Show, the MAX 10 will have the lowest seat-mile cost of any single-aisle airplane. The new airplanes will bolster Avolon's airplane portfolio to meet growing customer demand in the narrow-body market segment.

And I forgot to post last weeks last order from the Dubai Show, announced when pretty much everyone was already back home. A modest order for 6 MAX-8 by SCAT Airlines from Kazachstan.

"Boeing, SCAT Airlines Finalize Order for Six 737 MAX 8s"

Last week Boeing also saw a cancelation for an order for 32 737-MAX. Most likely that was the Monarch order.
