Sorry article in french, the article pretty much says that Royal Air Maroc will receive 4 E-190's by year-end.The carrier held a trial with several regional jets in summer last year with E-190's (leased from Denim Air) and SSJ100 from Moskovia in order to make a decision for an order for 10-15 frames. Don't know if these 4 frames are part of a larger order and where they'll come from?

What makes one type different from the others, aside from range covered? Like, I suspect that the LR can fly the longest possible among the four variants, but help me out understand the differences between the four.
IGW means Increase Gross Weight and STD means Standard...

I wonder if Embraer would ever consider to create a biger plane, like an A-320 o B-737. growing from the 2-2 cabin to the 3-3 cabin. It will be nice to have a third option on the range of 100-160 pax.
For the record, my favorite planes for short flights (< 2 hours) is the E-175/190's family.

I would too, but it's quite unlikely, worldwide we only have 2 wide-body makers, Boeing and Airbus, Embraer has a much better outlook in the small and medium markets, which are expanding more quickly (regional air in Asia is skycrocketing)

Embraer is pretty much the only player in the short to medium range commercial aviation market. Bombardier is not doing well financially, so besides that we cannot afford to upset both the Europeans and the Americans at the same time.

They would have to get in to producing bigger narrow body first, I see that as maybe.

Not to mention the fact that developing widebody jets is really capital intensive.

Brazillian government would need to make a heavy investment. European government did for Airbus if I remember right.
