When you produce a product, he must have scale to start generating profits on investment in the case of larger aircraft, this scale is very high, I do not think Embraer is willing to invest so much money in the hopes of winning markets that are already established.

It's interesting that the new E190s will be sent mostly to Europe rather than augmenting services within the African continent... how many E190s are still to be delivered to the airline, and what is its seating configuration?

Maybe, with more E190s, I think those can be used to augment flights to Algiers, Tunis, and Dakar, among others (instead of letting them see B737s all the time)...

Where did you go to with that aircraft? That looks nice, parked on a tarmac on a sunny day...

And it looks like Embraer will be producing yet another Legacy aircraft soon that will help boost business jet sales... from Travel Daily News:

Embraer’s Legacy 500 receives EASA certification

Quote:
Embraer’s Legacy 500 executive jet today was granted certification by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) during a ceremony at its headquarters, in Cologne, Germany. This approval enables entry into service of the aircraft in the Member States of the European Union as well as in EASA associated countries.

“EASA’s certification is a very important achievement for the Legacy 500, which is introducing advanced technologies and superior comfort in the midsize class,” said Marco Tulio Pellegrini, President and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets. “The approval of this revolutionary aircraft is a testament to our commitment to deliver true innovation to the market.”

I really wonder if any of Embraer's Legacy aircraft (designed as a business jet) can also be designed for commercial passenger use...?

To Rio de Janeiro. I often travel to work there. This day was cool and pretty much the plane did not vibrated. (But there have been situations that I took with turbulence sunny day, for being a coastal region is subject to ocean winds)

The Legacy meets the executive market. As far as I know in the local media here, can be used only for this purpose. But to cater for different corporate clients, nothing prevents us to have interesting news and imagine a smaller plane operating regional routes probably in the United States.

I ask that because an American airline here, United Airlines, is retiring all of its Embraer Brasilia EMB-120 aircraft, resulting in canceling multiple regional hops and short flights to remote communities, especially here in California. I was just wondering if such an aircraft, if configured in a commercial passenger aircraft form, could be suited to replace those aging propeller aircraft...? Like, if one of that has been done, what would be its maximum seating capacity?

Interesting what you say. The Brasilia is a small plane that has been used for regional routes here in my country in the commercial setting. Currently the travel company here have preferred the ATR to operate at smaller airports. I've traveled in Brasilia. Remember it was really small and approaches the size of the largest executive jets currently manufactured by Embraer. This picture below I took when I was traveling in it.

Regarding the legacy, the traditional model has an intermediate size between the Phenom and Lineage. I did a quick search in the local media here and found that United Airlines in November this year was considering purchasing the E2 set to 140 passenger capacity.

Anyway, it seems that the thing walking through that industrial secret. Let's wait. It will be interesting to see if this hypothesis is confirmed with the plane being configured for commercial use.

What do you mean E2 set to 140-passenger capacity? I mean, the EMB-120s UA has had 19 seats in them... what would be Embraer's next sizable aircraft that could sit like 50, if not switching to the ATR?

I didn't find recent news in the brazilian media here on the Legacy 500. Just found out about this E2. But surely, United Airlines won't replace their EMB-120's fleet by larger commercial aircraft Embraer and Bombardier. The ATR is a good choice. It's a plane that spends little fuel and lands almost any airport. But uses a more outdated technology. I'm hoping to come out news in the aviation market out there soon.

Here's a new airline that will operate the Embraer E170... from LOT Polish Airlines:

Air Burkina E170-100STD (reg. XT-ABS)

Bump...

I never thought this airline operates this aircraft type:

Jetairfly E190-100STD (reg. OO-JEB)

What I thought of Jetairfly is that it operates mostly Boeing aircraft (especially the B738 and B788 variants).
