FCP is a good 1km from the lake and will eventually be completely blocked from view as the area between it and the water gets filled in with skyscrapers.

Dude, I think it's going to a inevitability whether this project goes through or not. ^_^;;

The base looks very cool. This is an impressive development anyway.

88 stories in 272m, that's a lot, similiar to Aqua in Chicago.
But does that mean that 272m is the maximum height of this?

It's not clear if the 272m figure includes the 8-storey podium. If it doesn't, this could be in the supertall range.

Phew, that's true. These floors contain everything so they are a lot higher.

The 272 meters is only to the top floor, the mech penthouse isn't included.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but does this mean that if this tower reaches 300m, with Oxford Place, we will go from 0 to 3 supertalls by 2016-18?

I expect 2022 or so for the completion of this, possibly even longer. They will likely launch the smaller towers in this project first, probably around 2015. I wouldn't expect the sales for the tallest tower to start until 2017 at the earliest, with completion 5 years later in 2022. In reality, it will likely be even longer than that and not be finished until 2024 orv2025.

As for the Oxford towers, I expect at least one of them to be done by 2020, provided that they have to tear down an entire convention centre to build it. (Including a 25 story hotel) those towers have the luck of not spending 18 months in sales, provided that they can find office tenants for the 1,000,000 square feet in each tower.

Well, it's not very good looking in my opinion, but I'm here for Toronto to finally get some supertalls.

I'm hoping the final design gets some improvement.

That's correct, but they likely won't be built by then.

Could a mod delete this thread? There is currently a more active thread for the same project in the proposed supertalls section.

Considering that the listed height of the tallest is under 300m, the other one should be deleted. The roof feature might put it over 300m, but as we don't know it shouldn't be in the super tall section to begin with.

Move over St. Jamestown! If that gets built I don't see anything managing to match the population density to be found on this slither of land. With Target rumoured a little further west at the base of 1 York (90 Harbour) perhaps this area along the waterfront will start turning into another retail corridor. There's a ton of residential going up down here.

Nordstrom would look nice in the podium.

Very audacious! But I'm a bit surprised this isn't in supertalls. A 98 story tower in Honolulu (with their notorious low ceilings) being under 300m would be believable but not only is this in Toronto, but there is also a flaired crown of sorts at the top.

Looking forward to this thread moving to supertalls.
