How do you use your den?

A den is something that I've typically seen in American apartments, being a small adjacent room normally without a closet, that may or may not have a door but instead an entryway. Some don't have windows. Sometimes they can be used as small bedrooms, or guest rooms, but often it is used as an office space. Below is a floorplan with a typical den:

My 2nd bedroom will be a sort of den really. In your example I would probably use it for storage or as a area to work in.

I use my second bedroom as an office and I use the closet for storage.

No such thing exists in recently built apartments in Estonia. All rooms except bathrooms and toilets have windows and if a room has a window, it's almost always big enough to use as a fully-functional bedroom (or office). Apartments usually don't have a storage space within the apartment either, although it is quite typical to have a storage space in the basement.

Some older apartment buildings (built before WW2) might have something similar to this. I lived in an apartment building built in 1939 for 6 months. It was a 2-bedroom apartment but next to the living room there was a partially closed room with large glass doors separating it from the living room. We used it as a space for a desktop PC but also for storage. However, this kind of a floor plan is very rare.
