Chrysler is nice, but there's no merit I can find in it to give it above an 8/10 whereas many people see it as the best building in the world. Not that I have a problem with people having it as their favourite, but it's just my opinion.

But I see little merit in petronas or Gherkin.
Typically I agree with you on most things, but I think you got the above flipped around. Both are overrated, but I like Chrysler considerably more, thus my avatar. To me, if ESB's metal spire/antenna was absent, it'd be disgusting.

True, a close up if it's facade isn't great.

Just the thought of the original proposal without its "hat" makes my stomach lurch.

Haha, the original proposal when it didn't have the extra 16 floors reminds me of the old MetLife North Tower supertall proposal. Honestly, I absolutely love ESB's top. It pushes the skyline upward and lifts eyes to the skies. It's just the thought of it not being there that makes me nervous. The 1931-1950 version looked completely different. It made the tower look fat and humongous, but I don't mind at all.

Flame Towers are amazing, especially once they put that LED light. Furthermore, that area once will be cleared, it will be far prestigious.

What sickens me its Burj Khalifa with it is poor needle type design, the overrated Shard or as I call it Shart.

Eureka Tower isn't overrated. I'd say it's one of the most underrated skyscrapers in the world.

I really love the shard. I don't see how so many people can hate the Shard but like the Lotte World Tower. They're basically the same thing.

True

Another building I think is overrated is the Shanghai Tower.
The cladding and close-up crafting is gorgeous/creative, but I hate overall phallic shape.

Exactly. Shanghai Tower is just a Guangzhou IFC that rotates. It's not complex. It looks good, bud I definitely prefer Jin Mao, and maybe the WFC. ST and WFC are about the same. They look good, but they aren't exceptional towers.

Shun Hing Square is hideous in my opinion, from the shape to its atrocious colour scheme -- I frankly never understood why some people really liked it.

It and CITIC Plaza in Guangzhou are both hideous. In general, Asian supertalls from the 1990s don't look very good.
