I just don't understand his methodology? Ryugyong's underrated if anything. To be honest, I like the building, but that's about it. I don't love it, nor do I hate it. But somehow most seem to hate it (most for location, but nevertheless), so it's impossible for it to be underrated.

And Woolworth overrated? The detail in Woolworth blows my mind more than any other building of its height on the planet, and by a long shot. Something like that by definition cannot be overrated.

The petronas are quite ugly, in my opinion.

It's height is overrated. That's for sure.

You have to give 1WTC a break. It was designed just after 9/11. At this time, 1373/1776 ft was still a very big deal.

What has the 1373 to do?

1,373'8 is the height from the lowest entrance, with 1,368 being from the highest.

Which reminds me, did anyone know that the Chrysler Building is actually 1,046'4.75"? I should push for it to be listed as taller than the NY Times Tower.

1 WTC is actually oh so slightly taller to the roof than the old twins. I drove right up to it a few months ago and it looked really good. It may not be at the level of Shanghai Tower or the upcoming Ping An, but neither is anything else. Right now 1 WTC is definitely among the world's 10-15 most impressive buildings. Overrated or not, it's still one hell of a tower.

Yes, but the top of the building is a disappointment to me. I don't like the way it came out in the end.

Well everybody has their favorite skyscrapers and some people have same opinion and some people don't agree with other people. All of them are great towers so this thread is basically for an opinion fight.

I don't understand how you can be a skyscraper fan if you think that the Empire State Building is overrated.

I think it's just because it's the only skyscraper in the world that non-skyscraper fans can name

I agree. Don't like twin towers in general, but the major issue I have with the Petronas Twin Towers is the bridge.

Yea, I agree, 1WTC is overrated. Maybe the 1WTC can't fully appreciated without 2 and 3 WTC. I always thought The Twin Towers were far better aesthetically, spatially, and symbolically.

The Shard reminds me of the Ryugyong.

I think Doha Convention Centre Tower is an even better example than Lotte:

Well eventually we run out of ideas so we partially plagiarized and make little changes on them,

I saw article about how all skyscrapers with antennas are just silly, esp, 2 chicago ones are couple of nycs. I like Guangzhou IFC and Kingkey aren't and Shanghai, or Wuhan Greenland

I can't find the article any more.

Looks kind of out-of-place with that 'quoted' skyline in that picture .
