I can't help but notice that the land they are planning to build this beast is right next to a high school... I wonder if the students would mind the loud construction sounds for the next few years

That can't be the right rendering. I realize that the trees may be drawn out of scale but it's not just that. Maybe for the 218m component but far too stumpy to be the really tall one.

That rendering is around 90 floors and about 350m. Wouldn't a 518m building be at least 120 floors?

Must be the former design. At first they announced a 450m tower.

Concept design at the urban planning museum. The other 300m one is another upcoming project. Pic by zhangbing3617

sweet. Shenyang has an amazing skyline already, a 500m tower will make it perfect

Another render. Again, they failed to credit the source.

No renders at the ground breaking ceremony = bad news. They may take ages to build the minor towers before we get solid stuff about the main one.

500m flat roof looks amazing bad news to hear this is rather long term though after all Shenyang has so many towers in the pipeline with some complexes featuring two supertalls. the skyline will look amazing and fast get into the top, a 500m building would seal that fate for sure
