Currently, the total added value produced in the metropolitan area is 62 billion euros (the only data publicly available by ISTAT), taking into account the increment of last two years.
The GDP (added value + taxes) is estimated at 68-69 billion.

About tourism, there is no such big difference compared to early 2000's, even if the city is, without any doubt, the one with the major increment among all the others in Italy.
Maybe you're confusing presence vs. arrivals...

«Torino è la città italiana in cui negli ultimi anni si è costruito di più, un processo che riguarda tutte le città post-industriali, destinate a diventare città del divertimento. Il modello, anche se non esplicito, è Las Vegas» (Giuseppe Culicchia)

What about the Lyon-Turin high speed railway ?
Is it being built at the moment ?
When it will be finished it will give a better location for Turin and not only a big city surrounded by mountains at the corner of a country.

Oh. Thanks for the correction. I hate talk about economy...

The Egyptian Museum of Turin reopened in April 1, 2015 after much needed restoration works. It is the world's largest museum of this kind, outside Egypt. It was founded in 1824, and ranks second only to Cairo. The Museum has registered nearly 768,000 visitors in 2015, while more than 881,000 in 2016.

It houses one of the largest collections of Egyptian antiquities more than 6,000 objects are on display, whereas a further 26,000 objects are in storage. The museum's collection has been the subject of interest for some of history’s most important scholars, for instance Jean-François Champollion, decipherer of the Rosetta Stone. To such is attributed the fact that Turin is considered to be the city where Egyptology began.

The museum was also visited by the most qualified egyptologists and archaeologists in the world. The Egyptian Museum of Turin went back to being a major international research center, first and foremost with new research exhibits highlighting the links between the Egyptian world and the Western world.

QuadraTO (Residential)
Turin - District 1 (City Centre)

Designed by: “Building Engineering”
Status:U/C

The redevelopment project of the ancient convent of the Church of S. Augustine (the white building in the middle of the pic below).

The internal spaces of this 16th-century building were hugely modified during 1960 when the City became the owner of the complex.
The only survived space is the ancient chapel of the Church.

----------------------------

The rooms of the convent will be transformed into apartments of various dimensions.
Here some examples of how they will be...

Two pics from the construction site...

And this is the view from the top of the complex...

"Caserma La Marmora"
Turin - District 8 (Borgo Po)

Designed by: “Carlo Ratti Associati”
Status:proposed

Renovation of a former 19th century military complex. The project extends across a 20,000 square-meter; the design of the complex offers a fresh take on the barracks’ characteristic modular structure, which will be updated and reimagined to welcome a new mix of functions for living and co-working: from labs for Makers to residences for students and locals.

The complex today...

QuadraTO (Residential)

Interesting news. During the construction works, workers have discovered the remains of an ancient Roman house from the 2nd Century A.D; this discovery is very important because it shows that this was a residential area for patricians (Roman nobles) in the ancient "Augusta Taurinorum" (the name of the Roman village founded where now stands Turin).

Particularly interesting is the mosaic that once decorated the floor of this ancient Domus; it is supposed to represent the Greek myth of Actaeon.

All of this remains will be protected and preserved.
Because of the importance of the discovery, when the works of "QuadraTO" will be completed this area will be opened to the public.
