Supertall refurbishment

I'm working on a project and looking for skyscrapers worldwide that have been renovated or retrofitted recently. Or even better - ones that are scheduled to be refurbished or retro-fitted in the future. If anyone has any suggestions it would be hugely appreciated!
Many thanks
Tom

The only recent plan I can think of was for the Sears/Willis Tower to be painted silver. I do believe though that the powers that be realised how stupid this was and it's no longer on the cards.

In fact, does anyone even know how you go about refurbing/retrofitting a skyscraper? There's not much out there on the subject. Seems to me like a very hard job...

Check out 'First Canadian Place' in Toronto. The building just underwent major renovations inside and out. It's now LEED gold certified.

The most striking example I know is the case of the Tour First (previously Tour Axa) in La Defense.
Some parts were lowered while others were made taller by adding extra floors and a sort of crown. The brown cladding was changed in favour of a blue one, with some patterns close to the top.

Here is a diagram of how the tower before and after its renewal:

Tour First in La Défense, Paris had Large scale renovation between 2007-2011. Also the Tower Wing at Guy's hospital is undergoing renovation right now.

I'm not so sure if that's an improvement. Now it's just another bland glass box.

Yeah, it's just an indistinct green glass box. At least the previous facade had a bold pattern that provided visual interest. If they wanted to update it, it might have been better to keep that- replace that black glass with the green stuff, and replace the white cladding (it looks like stone, probably discolored from exposure to the elements) with metal- perhaps brushed aluminum might have looked nice, or even silver glass.

In my opinion all they succeeded in doing was changing one dated look with a new dated look. Faux-twisties are a dime a dozen nowadays in the same way the exposed concrete tower was ubiquitous back in the day. I'd rather have seen it demolished and a new concept go up.
