Lovely pics and high quality! I think We'll visit Baltimore from Washinghton in April. I suppose the MARC-train is the best option?

Yes, the Marc-train also known as Commuter trains are a convenient way to travel back and forth from Baltimore and DC. Driving isn't a bad option either Baltimore-Washington Parkway is alright and so is I-95.

There is a LOT that could make for great photography in Baltimore. The row houses. The port and industrial areas. Downtown.

Keep 'um coming. Baltimore is definitely a city I'd like to see more of here.

I do have this photo below but I'm not happy with it, it didn't turn out really good. Though if you would like to see here it is...

I went to college there so I lived there for 4 years. It always seemed a very "real" city--a blue collar ethnic city of unpretentious people and things unpretentious people enjoy.

But for those admirers of "The Wire", it has a section that is still quite elegant that was never seen in the TV show (except once--the younger Mayor was shown living in Roland Park I believe, a wealthy residential area).

I don't want to take over the thread, but here are just a couple of pics I took on a foggy winter day (so the pics themselves aren't the greatest) of my school which is in that "better" part of Baltimore that people who do Baltimore threads never seem to visit (wish you would UmarPK):

@Cal Escapee

When I get time and happen to be in Baltimore I will take more photos of different parts of the city. Right now I've been working on DC, check my DC thread if you haven't already.

I love the range of colours that are typically in use for tall buildings in America. Very distinctive.
