Thanks! Segovia is a real gem, one of Spain's best!

La Granja is also very beautiful, I specially like the surroundings with a lake perfect to swim in summer, the palace of Riofrio and so many marvellous villages. I specially love the historic Sepúlveda and the great Canyon of the Duratón river. Hope you manage to visit that as well
Thanks man! I certainly did - a culinary must when visiting Segovia without a doubt. Thanks for the heads up on La Granja. I have seen pictures of the palace in winter but I'm sure it would be beautiful in spring/early summer.

Thanks! It is. I believe it was built around the 1st/2nd century - certainly a most prominent figure in Segovia.

Thanks Mike.

I love to spend one day there and enjoy the city.

Don´t miss either La Granja and its palace, one of the most beautiful villages of Spain, I think.

¿Qué tal tu español? ¿Ya puedes ligar in Spanish ?

It's lovely - Segovia's architecture is fantastic and the colour of the buildings is perfect, not too psychedelic but not bland either.

Hola mi amigo! Muchas gracias.

Marvelous this city. I love it. Alcázar's Segovia reminds those castles of fairy tales.

A curiosity: Apparently, the castle was the true inspiration behind Cinderella's Castle in Walt Disney World not Neuschwanstein... look at this:

Regardless the urban legend this medieval castle is awesome.

Thank very much for sharing your nice pictures.

Thanks for the picture, looks lovely in the snow! That would not surprise me, it has a sort of magical appearance, more so when the sun is shining.

Haha, thank you! A trip to Leon is imminent, possibly in Semana Santa along with Valladolid and Salamanca.

Great! I know very well the three cities: my hometown León, I studied in Salamanca and in Valladolid I spent six months doing a Master so if you want some tips just let me know. Also, if you like, I would be happy to show you a bit of my city, if so just send me a p.m.

Thanks Filandon, that would be great. I'll get back to you on that. I'll also be in the company of a few friends I should think, one of whom is from Valladolid.

How is Leon at the moment? Still cold with snow?

Not anymore in the city, but in my mom's village, which lies on the mountains, there are places with more than 3 meters. If you like to see the huge power of nature then it's the right time. Unfortunately the chimney of our family house collapsed with the weight of the snow so there's lots to do. I'm going tomorrow' so I will also post some more snowy pics of winter in the Leonese region

Nice one. Yes, I saw on the news all the snowy shots from the northern slice of the country. I was especially impressed by the amount of snow that fell at that church in Navarra where the snow was up to the arches in the cloisters.

Of course, nothing here in Madrid haha.
