It would be great, but remember, from the point of airplane flying paths over it, doesn't matter if it is 1 or 101 tower that is 800+ m high, the central authorities would have to completely re-do the flight paths there. And, if that is to be done, then all the other lots, including the CRC one and others in the vicinity, would also look for height revisions.

After all, look, 400 m height limit is not that bad, keep in mind that HK Island skyline 20 miles away is topped out by a 410 m building, IFC 2, and looks darn good.

By itself, Qianhai area has so many economic advantages like HK tax and law system, no income tax for employees working there, plethora of transport options to HK and Guangzhou too - direct 8-lane coastal highway to Guangzhou, for instance, that there is no lack of interest by both corporate and personal entities. I, for one, would consider setting up my SZ office there. So, in that sense, they don't need a hypertall there. It is Shenzhen's current CBD's that need such super towers, to stay ahead of the pack and stay relevant...

yeah 400m is of course not bad at all! but when you get teased with 800m, you do not want to get back to the ground

I am pretty sure this is going to impossible because the area is so close to the airport. I believe the max height would be 350 or 400 meters

Interesting if true. SEVEN buildings 250m tall is not something you see every day.

Are this 250m approximate hights? And if, how much you think the hights can differ from this 250m?

On the other hand, this planning won the platinum award of a nation wide competition in October.

summeration of the second link would be nice, what is it about. and yes the information is promising 450m tower in qianhai means that the airport problem might not be apparent the mass of 200m+ buildings along with it is as good of news.

I hope they differ. That gives a much better skyline.

There's probably an easier way, but the way I'd do it would be to open the pdf file, press "print screen" on my keyboard, open Windows Paint and paste the screenshot I just took, then save it as a jpg. Then you can upload to an image hosting site like imgur.

I was thinking of printing it ontoA4 paper and then taking a photo of it then uploading it onto image hosting site. Not really the easiest or smartest way but it will save time trying to decipher the O/S. But all suggestions are welcome.

Can someone post the link to a diagram or map where we can clearly see the boundaries of the actual reclaimed land from sea ? As I know not all the Qianhai area is reclaimed land. Also, which other areas from Shenzhen are reclaimed and if there are new areas or planned to be reclaimed in the near future.
