I mean over a dozen of supertalls in Qianhai. This thread is Qianhai's second supertall thread here, so we already have two Qianhai supertalls identified. The other one:

haha i was about to say that 12 megatalls is a bit too ambitious even for Shenzhen

still hope we will get at least another 500m tower near the 800m monster, so it won't stick out as much

Well, the whole area is so huge it should take till 2025~ to develop, and that may be too optimistic. In such a long term who knows, everything is possible.

yeah if not longer, i see the qianhai area a bit like the new guangzhou CBD, very long term and will take a few more years until we see epicness rising. i hope we will see the 800m tower earlier though.

No, no. Qianhai is larger than anything we have seen to date in China. Maybe it's only comparable to all the CBD sections in Tianjin Binhai area combined. The whole masterplan may host several hundred plots. I wish they made something really innovative, such as reserving plots for residential supertalls, reserving plots for >700m towers, etc. Just look at the videos, this is going to be amazingly huge. This is what I've been hoping for Shanghai since I joined the forum, but in the end it came for Shenzhen instead.

when it is so big, will it be compiled of several small areas and each into different phases? can't believe that the whole thing would be under construction at the same time, so it sounds like it would be needed to be split up into different groups developping in different time intervals making this strech for decades or we would see everything under construction at the same time making this look like a sea of cranes for years hope we can get more details on several parts of the area and shedules.

Yeah, the so called Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone which is a section of the arch-shaped mega CBD might be developed quite early. Concept videos show a skyscraper cluster in it, the tallest plot looks around 300m, but just a dwarf tower compared to the vague silhouettes in the background.

Pay attention to 0:37-0:45, see the white monsters on the left? I'd say there're several 500m+ there.

I'm not sure, but I guess this section fits with the cricled cluster in this concet pano. Once again, if that cluster includes a ~300m tower imagine the size of the towers in the center. But anyway this is all too preliminary to be taken seriously, it could be not as crazy as we think or even more massive. Time will say.

yeah looks like at least two very tall towers. So what we now see in Shenzhen with 9 supertalls U/C might just be the beginning of something even bigger

Has this been posted before? Shows quite some high tower at the centre of Qianhai, but it does not look like 800+ to me....

there was a video already, but i believe it was a different one.
it's difficult to say how tall the tower in the video is, but i think it's easily a megatall

I will ask this question again: Is this even possible that close to the airport?
I remember the possible height decrease of the China Resources tower in Houhai because of the airport and Qianhai is much closer to the airport.

the possible height decrease was just a rumor and never had any sources, so i don't think there is any problem, at least i do hope so.

It's 11km away from the end of the runway. Isn't it far enough?
