Thanks to Skyscraperpage.com

432 Park Avenue looks ridiculous small in comparison to Chinese giants....

No, they just show the current construction progress.

If it was the case 3WTC sure would be king of vanity height

Is it just my feeling or is there a slowdown setting in: Fewer buildings being proposed and starting up construction, buildings getting their heights reduced or going on hold etc.

ZZ-II what's your view on that?

Agree, the peak of the boom is over as it seems. But there are still more than enough projects . And new projects will come all the time.

List of 200m+ buildings and 300m+ buildings by year and city

It is two tabs, so if you want to see the list of the 200m+ buildings or 300m+ buildings you need to switch between them at the bottom of the page. the 200m+ list includes the years up to 2016 and the 300m+ list the years up to 2017. These lists do not include prep buildings or on hold buildings. the data is from Skyscraperpage.com, so if you find a mistake, try to locate the missing building or wrong completion date at SSP and then tell me, only telling me the number is wrong won't help. Hope you enjoy and I hope the data is mostly accurate.

I sadly have to make the data view only, so it doesn't get changed. If you want to sort the list by different years and by country, just copy all the data with ctrl+c and paste it in open office or another google docs and you can do what you want with it.

Excellent KillerZ. Thank you for sharing that.

I see you have an estimated completion date for Rygugong Hotel...

Very interesting to see how much has changed in just a decade and a half. Most people in Houston probably still think they live in one of the skyscraper capitals of the world.

I have serious doubts about Mumbai. I was watching "Slumdog Millionaire" a couple of weeks ago and there is a scene with a view of heaps of skeleton buildings around the city. The movie is from 2008 and it almost looks the same today.

Thanks again

i am only using the data from SSP, i have not judged the likelyhood of several estimate dates, however buildings that previously had no estimate completion dates in SSP or CTBUH before i estimated a completion date myself and i set the date rather pessimistic or similar to buildings in the same city that have the same construction progress.

for mumbai everything can happen. it is likely that many project will take much longer and get on hold, i have seen how the completion dates for several buildings were moved back and back in the last years, but also the numbers could go in favor for mumbai considering there are already many buildings on hold that may continue in one way or another. the last years however proved rather slow overall.

new york is another city where the future is kind of hard to see from these numbers, because new york is planning buildings that have a very small foot print, very shallow foundation (because of the rock formations under the city) and have extremely high ceilings, which all goes in favor for fast construction. so a supertall that is now prep may as well be finished in 2017, if it starts soon.

however if i count prep buildings for new york, i would need to count prep buildings for all cities, which would also incorporate buildingy by evergrande and that would just taint the numbers wrong for several cities, because we all know how unlikely some prep projects are.

i can't remember where but anyone posted an overview about how many percent of the height of some tall towers are unused. Burj Khalifa wasn't the worst, that's what i remember.

Can anyone repost that?
