Respect might be the wrong word. I respect everyone's opinion but if someone leaves out Chicago they're judging by a completely different set of criteria than me and/or it's a massive oversight on their part. Chicago's skyline has everything you want to see in a great skyline imo.

Chicago doesn't get talked about much on SSC because it's not building all that much relative to many other places but it's still one of the best skylines around.

I didn't like them after they were built but they've grown on me as KL continues to build. I think they're destined to be overshadowed and almost forgotten (by most of the world, not Malaysians) not unlike many of the world's tallest buildings before Chrysler.

I think the Petronas are stunning. They will never fade into oblivion in my opinion.

Maybe now is not the best, but it is certain that the city skyline as if she never stopped growing.
Currently there are ongoing construction works of 4 buildings with a height of over 300 meters and also dozens of buildings with a height of over 200 meters, whereas the ongoing construction of buildings above 100 meters is almost incalculable.

It will take several years before a few cities potentially rival Chicago. Only 4 come to mind - NYC, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Shenzhen.
