The point is clear, just to piss off SSC forumers.

Leaving the joke aside I think it is better to don't show the sorroundings at all or to actually show all the major buildings. Adding randome tubes is just a lame mid-point.

Going a lil off topic, but here's a better 3D printed model of Manhattan.

These tiles are currently going for $95 each at microscape.com!

You can also get the entirety of Manhattan, consisting of 200 pieces, for a mere $20,000.

Here's a render from DeSimone, the engineering firm behind 125 Greenwich. It's clearly pretty rough (no sign of those round edges we're 99% sure will be there, nor any greenery), but seems to more or less confirm what we've been seeing the past couple months.

Actually, if you look closely you'll notice the round edges. I am far from impressed. Maybe when they'll finish the construction it'll look better if they use glass of great quality, however I am far from impressed like I already stated.

I'm afraid this will have a bland back side like 500 5th Avenue.

I agree.. I think one of the initial proposals of an all glass 432 Park Avenue look a like was so much better.. including the height xD.

But it certainly wouldn't be the first building to look bad on paper but actually looking quite nice all finished up. Fingers crossed xD

I felt that way about 10 HY. I never cared for the renders, but now it is done it looks amazing. This obviously made my anticipation of 30 HY go through the roof. Another couple that have turned out better than renders are 50 Leonard St, 24th Street 777 footer, 50 west, and 30 Park Place.

I am also hopeful 220 CPS will fall into this category.

I believe those are the first official renderings of this project. Seems to be just about 1000 ft. The design is not that bad to be honest.

From the Bizzi Partners site.

Those 2 renders were also updated.

It is pretty meh though :/ On the other hand, it does seem to be one of those buildings that will look better in real life than on renders.

Looks better upclose! I think this is one of those projects wherein the materials used will either make it better than the renders.. or worse.

Right. Could be better, could be worse. Completely forgettable, but maybe it's better that something like this not overshadow the WTC. I'd prefer if a massive mixed-use tower did that.

It's really bad, but better than the previous design. Beautiful building for Grozny!

Ugly.....especially these two stripes that go all the way up.
Seems like it was designed by Liebeskind;however,as Vinoly is behind the drawing board(computer?)i still want to believe.
To be compared with nearby amazing 50 West as Whoopi Goldberg with Halle Berry or Donald Trump haircut with Brad Pit's....
