In Congress high command decides most :-) and everyone in high command favours Kharge ... as Siddu and Parameshwar do not have much hold on high command... and each one of them will not be happy to see other as CM so Kharge is neautral and most deserving candidate as CM ... and Siddu be made Central minister :-)

I am not opposing Mr Kharge, was just guessing the possibility if Siddhu is not given CM post. I am happy if some one from NK becomes CM and develop NK on priority and whole Karnataka. Let's discuss the CM possibilities only after May 8th. Any thing can happen on that D-Day. :-)

I am sure there are some brilliant statisticians in this thread. Sample size could be determined by parameters like confidence level ,confidence intervals etc. Are there 30 million voters in this election? If you set a low confidence interval then I guess it will be more relevant .Any takers ?. I am sure someone here could find out if 10,000 is an adequate number. it depends on what confidence interval u want to set. Akash ,u are brilliant enough to do this.

Exit polls for me are more an indicator of Vote% than of overall seats..seats are very hard to predict..

So i dont believe the exit polls..But most of them are saying 37%+ vote for the congress..I personally feel above 38% they will do a major sweep, 36-37% will be close to majority...

Avg Polls, most are predicting :

37%+ for INC
24% for BJP
20% for JDS
8% for KJP
11% for others (BSR+IND+Smaller parties)

True...He has supporters in most parts of Karnataka except coastal region..I am a supporter of Siddu and hope he becomes CM..Kharge is next best bet...

All opposition parties + Congressis who are anti-siddu have tried their complete best to defeat him in Varuna..JDS candidate went missing to transfer JDS vote to KJP, many congress panchayat members were bought over..Dalits were told that if Siddu wins then a Dalit CM chances becomes very less...

Siddu needs to win this, else it will be a tragedy if he gets defeated and cong wins majority...

Reality now is after loss in Karnataka, BJP will be left with 4 state CM's i.e. Goa, Guj, MP and CH to rule...4/30..INC will have CM's in 14/30 states...

this is exaggeration by congress supporter.
firstly bjp govern and unlike congress does not rule.
in bihar bjp is there.

in maharashtra congress is not on its own.
only one major state they are in is rajasthan.

congress had been drubbed in UP. they dont have any ground support there.
punjab was bad experience for congress which they were sure to win.
and gujrat modi has defeted them third time in a row.

the fourteen states that inc rule does not have more than 4 lok sabha seats. (except rajasthan and kerela)

yes Karnataka win will boost their morale but not for long. also coz intially congress was project to sweep the election means means at least 140 seats.

now they are not sure even to get majority.

therefore even congress wins it is not a big victory.

congress is going to loose rajasthan delhi and maharashtra and in mp also bjp will defeat congres again.

Karnataka Polls- PGR Sindhia (JDS) makes a very serious allegation against DK Shivakumar of the Congress, says sealed EVMs have been tampered.

As i said, reasons after reasons and "this will happen", "that will happen"...what has happened is BJP is losing state after state that it was ruling...

swalpa ivaga iru reality bagge maathodu, ninthara BJP supporters of-course will hope better...

I have clearly written CM's and its not like BJP won UP or something that u r so proud of :-)

nija yen andre, BJP has CM's in 4 states..aiythappa 5 states, bihar idkondu...I will also take JnK coalition then..so INC is in 15 states..and wht do u mean 1 major state? AP, Kerala are not major states eh?

Do your mathematics of how many LS seats are present in the INC's 15 states and how many in BJP's 5 states...

Maharashtra, Assam and Delhi all states Congress has defeated BJP 3 times in a row! BJP du bari Gujarat...

Irli bidu, december alli iro assembly elections aadmele nodona...hopefully BJP will be left with only 2 states, Gujarat and Goa(smallest state in india) but that i will predict when elections happen there and not now...
