After opening metro in Kolkata (my city) in 1984, in Delhi (our country capital) in 2002, in Bengaluru in 2011, in Mumbai in 2014, this year metro opened in Jaipur, the fifth city which opened metro.

This is a very old city, and also very congested. It is famous for many tourist attractions, so the crowd is mixed with inhabitants and tourists. Metro is a good solution for traffic jam.

Jaipur metro follows Delhi and Mumbai metro, because, it uses overhead wire. All trains are same as Delhi Metro’s SG trains, which I personally not like, because they could think a different type of model.

I heard Jaipur is also constructing a BRT network, but it will be useless, because metro is much faster, higher capacity, and completely pollution free. So I support metro, and suggest that instead of more thinking about BRT, transport authority should think about more metro lines.

The worst thing is that they have started division between passengers, even creates pressure by applying peak hour fare, which is double than normal fare. It starts from evening, when most people returns from their workplace to home. Why they are creating such abnormal pressure on the middle-class people. This is completely injustice to the, I strongly protest this. No other metro system in India behaves like this.

Peculiarly, Jaipur still has not electrified mainline rail system, but it has got metro system. So this metro line is the first any type of electric transport in Jaipur, which opened in 2016.

I’ve some questions (arose after viewing some websites). Please answer one by one –

1) Left side, right side or both sides, - which type of platforms are in most numbers in Jaipur subway network?
2) Which is the highest of Jaipur metro?
3) Which is the busiest metro station?

Already they have planned long term plan. Line 1 will be extended in east; this extension will be fully underground. The partly underground line 2 is also under construction. It will run from north-west to south-east, and will cross line 1, and the south-east bound suburban rail line also.
