Best German Highrise Cities

Hello forum users, in this thread you can adjust the best highrise / skyscraper skylines in Germany. The best is, of course, the Frankfurt skyline, but in addition you can also present and illustrate your own city.

My personal top ten list ...

1. Frankfurt a.M.

1-Frankfurt
2-Cologne
3-Berlin
4-Duesseldorf

But I reckon Frankfurt takes the pole by a long and long shot. Nothing beats this, even in Europe :

To me Paris beats Frankfurt, as its financial disctrict is much denser. Anyway, Frankfurt is the second best in Europe with no doubts and also the first one in Germany.

Frankfurt without any doubt.
Cologne, Essen and Düsseldorf are often mentioned, but they are overrated in my opinion.
-Cologne is scattered and has the Ugliest tower in Germany in its skyline (Colonius),
-Essen is boxy with only one good tower
-Düsseldorf is domitated by it's as well ugly tv tower.
imo behind FFM only Berlin and Hamburg can offer a diverse and remarkable skyline - more or less equal to each other.
They work with and withot its TV tower. Of course, if the TV Towers are in the picture, they dominate the szene as well,
but compared to their mates in Cologne and Düsseldorf they are beauties.
some of Hamburg

I find the colonia high rise does not necessarily ugly. It's just a residential tower.
Regarding Cologne Highrises, I must give you right with the scattered skyline, but that is no different with Berlin. I think the cologne has more good buildings than for example hamburg where half of the building looks like sawed-off stumps.

i don't mean the colonia, but the colonius tv tower. One of Germanys most unbalanced-shaped tall structures. It is a crime to put it in a skyline together with the stunning Kölner Dom.

http://images.placesonline.com

PS: Looking like saw off stumps is a fate that all German city skylines (exept FFM and Munich) share due to the lack of high and flat roof constructions. And in every skyline are one or two buildings that stand out a bit out of this forest of saw of stumps - may it be church, a tower or another highrise. That's what all German cities have in common so its no argument for me to uprank or downrank a skyline.

This thread not only about skyscrapers but on Highrises generally goes. Frankfurt is only really competitive, I know that too but apart from this there are also other interresting skyscraper landscapes.
