Turkish Aerospace Industries is one of the subcontractors of Bombardier C Series

Quote:
TAI Delivers First Bombardier C Series FTE

Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc. (TAI), a subcontractor to Bombardier, delivered its First C Series Fixed Trailing Edge (FTE) to Bombardier at a ceremony held at TAI's facilities in Ankara, Turkey, on August 19, 2014.

TAI assembled FTE will be integrated to wing in Belfast facilities and delivered to the final assembly line in Montreal, Canada.

Many high level authorities among whom were the VP & General Manager of BA-Belfast Michael Ryan, Vice President of Supply Chain & Fabrications Stephen Cowan, TAI President and CEO Muharrem Dφrtkaşlı, Senior Executive Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Governance Bekir Ata Yılmaz and Executive VP of Aero Structure Naki Polat participated in the ceremony.

TAI has a long, proven track record of building exceptional aerospace products and C Series is one of these products which makes difference by its properties like low fuel consumption, environmental energy usage. Delivery of this high quality product FTE has been another major milestone. Adding new capabilities and increasing outsourcing activities are other major benefits of this program.

Once the program reaches full rate production, TAI will support Bombardier wing assembly lines in Belfast by shipping ten FTE per month.

The Bombardier C100 and C300 Series could really challenge Airbus A319 / A320 and Boeing B737

Bombardier announced a much needed firm order for 40 CS300s.

It's the tied largest firm order together with the Republic order (which is actually rumored to be cancelled soon).

Quote:
Bombardier and Macquarie AirFinance Sign Purchase Agreement for up to 50 CSeries Aircraft

* Firm purchase agreement for 40 aircraft and 10 options signed
* Order positions Macquarie AirFinance as largest lessor of CS300 aircraft

Bombardier Commercial Aircraft announced today that a wholly owned affiliate of Macquarie AirFinance has signed a firm purchase agreement for 40 CS300 jetliners and has taken options on an additional 10 CS300 aircraft.

Macquarie AirFinance, which currently owns or manages 136 jet aircraft leased to 73 operators in 43 countries across six continents, will lease the CS300 aircraft to airline operators around the world. Delivery of the aircraft will be on a phased basis from 2017 to 2019.

“Macquarie AirFinance’s selection of the CS300 aircraft is a strong endorsement of the aircraft type and we are looking forward to working with this unique lessor to expand the market for our 100%-new jetliner,” said Mike Arcamone, President, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft. “We anticipate continued momentum in the CSeries aircraft program as we confirm our performance predictions for the aircraft.”

All right, folks... from today, you can post anything related to Bombardier, aside from the C-Series developments, since I know there are other aircraft under this successful Canadian aircraft company. It includes the popular CRJ series and Dash series, in which those can be found with many airlines worldwide. Fair deal?

Surprisingly, yes! Some Asian carriers (especially LCCs) use the Dash 8-Q400 model for short hops and regional ops that require smaller aircraft due to either terrain or airport size. Not to mention, that propeller aircraft is a viable alternative to the ATR of Italy, which produces the -42 and -72 models, two more popular aircraft in Asia, the former Soviet republics, and Oceania.
