Palace in Zakrzewo, Gniezno County, Greater Poland Voivodeship


Zakrzewo belonged to the Węsierski family. They built a palace in 1867.

Obodówka - Crown of the Kingdom of Poland, now Ukraine



Obodówka was owned by the Sobański family (Junosza coat of arms) since 1787. The palace was built by Michał Sobański in 1800, re-designed by Michał Sobański Jr. between 1900 and 1908. It belonged to the Sobański family until 1918, they fled when Obodówka was annexed by the Bolsheviks.

Połoneczka - Grand Duchy of Lithuania



Połoneczka was in hands of the Radziwiłł family since 1704, after marriage of Marcjanna Siesicka and Michał Antoni Radziwiłł. The residence in Połoneczka was built in the 18th century, while Church of Saint George was founded in 1759. The Radziwiłł family owned the palace until 1939.



Dedication of the new bells donated by Polish businessman Maciej Radziwiłł (more) and Celestyna Radziwiłł's (born Sulistrowska) tombstone

Wojtkuszki - Grand Duchy of Lithuania



Wojtkuszki was bought by Michał Korwin-Kossakowski (Ślepowron coat of arms) in 1764. The first palace was built in the 1760s-1770s. It was rebuilt in Neo-Gothic by Stanisław Szczęsny Kossakowski according to Bonifacy Pawłowski's plans. The residence included library with 12,000 volumes and other artifacts (e.g. Napoleon Bonaparte's military uniform). The Kossakowski family fled from Wojtkuszki after WW1/WW2. The last owner of the palace, Jan Eustachy Kossakowski (1900-1979) lived in Warsaw.

Manor in Brzostowica Wielka (owned by the Kossakowski family until 1939, the manor was completely destroyed by the Soviets, while the family members were expelled to Kazachstan, they returned to Europe with Anders' Army help)

Swojatycze - Grand Duchy of Lithuania



Swojatycze was a property of the Obuchowicz family (Jasieńczyk coat of arms) since the 18th century. It was given to Zofia Obuchowicz as a dowry, she married Stanisław Czapski in 1810. It was passed to the Plater-Zyberk family in 1877, when Weronika Czapska married Jan Kazimierz Plater-Zyberk (their son Henryk was the last owner of the palace). After the Soviet invasion of Poland, the palace was sacked and destroyed, while the family fled from Swojatycze (annexed by the Soviet Belarus).

Chołoniów - Crown of the Kingdom of Poland, now Ukraine



The palace in Chołoniów was founded by the Chołoniewski family (Korczak coat of arms) in the second half of the 18th century, during King Stanisław August Poniatowski's reign. The last owner of the residence was Zygmunt Marceli Krasicki (1889-1955). The palace was destroyed during WW1.

I love this thread. It shows great piece of architecture and history of Commonwhealth (today Poland, Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine).
I've got list next about 40 palaces. I would like to put 2-3 per day.


Palace in Pawłowice, Leszno County, Greater Poland Voivodeship




Former noble residence built in the late eighteenth century. Classicising Baroque style. Its founder was the writer of the Crown Mielżyński Maximilian (1738-1799).

Palace in Dobrzyca, Pleszew County, Greater Poland Voivodeship



Classical palace located in the south- eastern part of Dobrzyca . Set in a picturesque landscaped park landscaped in English style. Built between 1798-1799 by the leading architect of Classicism Stanislaw Zawadzki for aide and head of the military office of King Stanislaus Augustus, General Augustyn Gorzeński.

Palace in Ciążeń, Słupca County, Greater Poland Voivodeship





Late Baroque bishop's palace in Ciążeń. It was built in the years 1758 - 1768 for the Bishop Teodor Czartoryski by architect Joseph Sacco and finished around 1810 in the Rococo style by Bishop Ignacy Raczynski.

Palace in Czempiń, Kościan County, Greater Poland Voivodeship



Baroque palace built in the years 1698-1739 for Ludwik Szołdrski, the governor of Poznan. In 1847 owner was family von Delhaes.

Palace in Niasviž, Minsk district, Great Lithuanian Duchy, now Belarus



The estate was owned by the Radziwiłł magnate family from 1533, when it was awarded to Mikołaj Radziwiłł and his brother Jan Radziwiłł after the extinction of the Kiszka family.

Pępowo Baroque palace was built between 1695 - 1703 for Józef Mycielski.

Palace in Objezierze was built in 1786-1788 in the classical style for the Węgorzewski family.

Palace in Śmiełów, Jarocin County, Greater Poland Voivodeship



Historic palace built in 1797 by the leading architect of Classicism Stanisław Zawadzki for Andrzej Gorzeński. This is one of the most beautiful palaces of Wielkopolska located in the picturesque surroundings of Szwajcaria Żerkowska.

Vańkovič Palace in Minsk, Great Duchy of Lithuania, now Belarus




Radziwill were the masters of the palace in the 18th century, in the beginning of the 19th century they sold it Vankovich. First, the estate was wooden, stone house built in the early 19th century. Nearby is the system of alleys and dams, large pond. Vankovich were full owners of the estate complex until 1920.

Palace in Trzebiny, Leszno County, Greater Poland Voivodeship



The palace was built between 1680-1690 for the Gurowski family. After 1860 was partially rebuilt.
