Działyński Palace, City of Poznań, Greater Poland Voivodeship




Działyński Palace in Poznań is a Baroque palace built in 1773 - 1776. The building features a rich stucco-decorated interior of its "Red Hall" and a classicist façade decorated with sculptures. The palace serves as one of the locations of Kórnik Library today. Its first owner was Wladyslaw Roch Gurowski - Lithuanian grand marshal. In 1808 the owner was a family Działyński to 1880. The next owner was Wladyslaw Zamoyski.

Palace in Kopaszewo, Kościan County, Greater Poland Voivodeship




Classical palace in Kopaszewo built between 1800-1801 by Louis Drogosław Skórzewski. On the left side of the palace is a late-baroque chapel built in 1794 . In 1844 the palace was bought by General Dezydery Chłapowski.

Palace in Czerniejewo, Gniezno County, Greater Poland Voivodeship



Built between 1771-1775 for Jan Lipski by architect Ignacy Graff. The next owner was the Skorzewski family.

Castle in Gołuchów, Pleszew County, Greater Poland Voivodeship



Early Renaissance brick building on the defensive, several storey , with towers at each corner, was built in the years 1550-1560 for Rafal Leszczynski. Modernized in the years 1600-1619 by Wacław Leszczynski. In 1695 was sold to Suszko family. Then the castle changed owners several times. In 1856 the owner was Działyński Tytus. In the years 1875-1885 , the castle was partly rebuilt and renovated by Izabela Działyńska (daughter of Czartoryski , wife of the Działyńskis son).

Palace in Racot, Kościan County, Greater Poland Voivodeship



The Palace was built in the second half eighteenth century. The owner of the palace was the family Jabłonowski. The palace was an important cultural center : for the local art theater posted living in the region Józef Wybicki, and the palace stopped distinguished guests, including first president of Warsaw Ignacy Wyssogota Zakrzewski, Józef Poniatowski and Tadeusz Kościuszko. In 1921 the palace complex decision of the Council of Ministers devoted to Polish presidents residence. In 1928 created one of the three pre-war polish studs. Today in the stud bred Wielkopolski race horses.

Palace in Lewków, Ostrów Wielkopolski County, Greater Poland Voivodship



Built between 1786-1791 and designed by Jan Krystian Kamsetzer for Kalisz Referees Wojciech Lipski and his wife Salomei Lipska (Objezierska). Classicist, one of the first neoclassical palaces in the former province of Kalisz.

This will be end of my list palaces from Greater Poland Voivodeship. If you know another example, please put in this thread.I tried to put in this topic examples of palaces in good condition. There are still some interesting palaces waiting for renovation, rebuilding for exmpale: palace in Unia, Kromolice, Oporowo ect.. In this region are some example of palace from 19 century after partition Commonwealth like: Golejewko, Zimnowoda, Tarce, Iłówiec, Grab, Winna Góra ect.
There are some palaces today in Greater Poland Voivodeship, but build in Prussia like Trzebosz .. ect

I belive that not big problem for you, but i want apologize for my simple english.



Lets start with palaces in Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship!

Classical palace, built between 1795 - 1800 by the leading architect of Classicism Stanislaw Zawadzki for Fryderyk Skórzewski.

I had no idea there were so many palaces in such good condition in Poland considering the massive plundering during and after WWII. very interesting.

Absolutely I agree with You, im also big surprised how many less well know palaces in good condition is in this country, probably in Ukraine Belarus and Lithuania also. This is reason why I want continue with this thread. My new inspiration.

Palace in Kikół, Lipno County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship



The palace was built around 1790 on the initiative of the owner Kikół - Ignacy Antoni Zboiński, probably designed by Stanisław Zawadzki. In 1824 and 1825 the palace was visited by the young Fryderyk Chopin.

Old Palace in Ostromecko, Bydgoszcz County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship



Today baroque palace, built in 1730 saxon rococo style on a high bank of the Vistula River, initiative Pomeranian Governor Paweł Michał Mostowski in the former family mansion Dorpowski. In the same complex is a new palace built in 1849, probably designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel on behalf of Schönborn family. Both are the largest palace complex in Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Dąmbski Palace, City of Toruń, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship



The palace was built on the site of two gothic townhouses by kuyavian Bishop Stanislaw Dąmbski in 1693. Impressive is the facade, the whole covered with stucco motifs and plant-flower richly ornamented portal. Today it is one of the few surviving examples of baroque ornamentation Torun. In 1800 was sold to the Prussian officer. Since 1815 Hotel Gdansk, in 1870 was acquired for the purposes of the Prussian army. In the years 1920-1924 was the headquarters of the State Police and the Society of Fine Arts. After World War II very important cultural center, the palace was transferred to the University of Nicolaus Copernicus (large group of artist and professors of University of Vilnius) and was placed there Faculty of Fine Arts. Now the headquarters "Kujawski and Pomorski Impresaryjny Musical Theatre".

Abbot Nuns Palace, City of Grudziądz, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship

Build in 1749-51 by abbes Ewa Radowicka as monastery gate, called Abbot Nuns Palace. In niches placed 8 wooden late baroque religious figures of saints.

Grudziadz has so many architectural gems, a must see city for anyone touring Poland. It's a shame when I was there I didn't come across this stunning building.

It will be end of my list of palaces of Commonwealth in Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. If I forgot something please try to put later. I want to notice that there are some number of palaces, but still in not good condition, for example:: Komierowo ,Nawra ,Radziki.
There are some palaces from 19/20 century like for example:
Bajerze , Kruszyn , New Palace Ostromecko , Samoklęski Duże , Dwór Artusa , Rulewo.



Next--> Masovian Voivodeship!
