Awwww. shucks..

I have a few more of the skyline in Philly taken from various vantage points across the river.

It was well-known urban lore that for decades, there was an unspoken "gentleman's agreement" in Philly that no developer would build a 'scraper taller than Billy Penn's hat on city hall - that lasted until the mid 1980's when One and Two Liberty place went up just a few blocks away. Now, the USB-flash-drive-looking Comcast Center, at ~60 stories, is Pennsylvania's tallest. Billy P can be seen just right of the PSFS Building on the 2nd pic.

Interestingly, when completed in 1908, Philly's City Hall was the tallest building in the world, for a brief while.

Yay Philly. I've been here a few times. My sister and her family moved to just outside Ocean City, NJ over 10 years ago. I've been lucky enough to make it over/down there a half dozen times or so. Philly is a cool city to hang out in. The south NJ coast is beautiful.

Here's one more I took last year about this time, from the waterfront between Camden and Gloucester City. Just a slightly different, more southern perspective.

Yo Adrian! Yuz want more skylines?

Here's Philly from the west, near the famous Art Museum and the Fairmount Waterworks. After looking at these in a group, I'm struck (ouch!) by how 'blue' everything is, but that's possibly because almost all the big 'scrapers in Philly are clad in very reflective blue glass - Comcast Center, the Ciro Center, 1 & 2 Liberty Place, the Blue Cross building, etc. Couple that with a nice bright sunny day, and a slightly over-applied CPL filter, and one has a lot of blue...
