Im from Brazil. 30-40 minute drives are not a great distance for me. In my hometown sometimes would be one hour drive from my house to my work.

Hardly. If you'd take the A4 to Leiden, there's really only a few stretches of uninterrupted farmland, and the population density in even those regions might well be considered suburban in most countries.
