My St. Patrick's Day in Downtown Miami!

It was absolutely incredible! I took the bus down Biscayne Boulevard all the way from North Miami because I knew it was going to be crazy. I got off at the Arsht Performing Arts Center to walk up the MacArthur Causeway and update the new museum construction first. Then, I walked down Biscayne Boulevard taking pictures of all the people going to Ultra. OMG! Ultra is HUGE!

Then, I updated several construction sites after that. I caught the Metromover at SE 5th Street and updated Brickell CityCentre from there and continued on taking photos of the St. Patrick's Day festivities in Brickell Village from the Metromover. Then, I updated the Brickell CityCentre construction site from the highest level of the Brickell Village parking garage as well as more of the St. Patrick's Day festivites.

I then took the Metromover back to the Arsht Performing Arts Center updating the Met3 consruction site along the way (didn't know there was all that activity happening on Met3 site.) Then, I shot Ultra from the Metromover. A lot of those pictures didn't come out, only the ones where I'm shooting straight ahead from the Metromover.

Thanks, Christos! It was quite a day in downtown Miami yesterday. It was the place to be, not South Beach. Everybody seems to think downtown Miami is boring. Not anymore!

This is how I used to dress for events like Ultra back in the day when I was this young man's age, but I never wore shorts this long. I worked too hard to get the legs I had back then.

Fantastic !!! I adore Miami's architecture, if only we could build condo's like that we won't have so much resistance to them. Our St Paddy's Parade rained out - we have been having a drought and then trust Murphy to make it rain on the parade I look forward to more updates - thanks mate

Thanks, Sydney! You are one of the few people who actually likes Miami's new architecture. Haters abound! I can't help the fact that Miami ended up with the 3rd largest skyline in the United States just out of the blue the way we did, but that's what it is, and it's still growing! It's not just a bunch of boring high-rise condos either. Downtown Miami certainly wasn't boring last Sunday!

This is what all this new construction is all about. Brickell CityCentre will be one block north of where the St. Patrick's Day celebration was. Lots to look forward to here in Miami for skyscraper enthusiasts. The longer you wait to come visit, the more you will see!

nice photos of the SP celebration and the crapers as well.
Just curious, how're the color green and the four-leaf clover associated with St. Patrick?
anyone can answer this?

St. Patrick's Day + the ULTRA Music Festival ( one of the largest EDM festivals in the World) in downtown Miami on the same day = URBAN INSANITY !!
