Teruel is a city located in the centre-east of Spain and in the south of the region of Aragon. We can say it is a city because it has University and Cathedral but it is a really small city. It is a province capital but, the smallest province capital city indeed.

Teruel has a legend, which it is not a myth, as far as some documents were discovered several centuries ago and the two corpses were found a long time ago. I will tell something about this legend (or History) because it is part of these pictures.

I would invite you to read this wikipedia entrance (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lovers_of_Teruel) because two of those towers appears in this legend.

Teruel has four towers with Mudejar architectural style. In 1986 UNESCO declared them Human Heritage (wikipedia entrance: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mud%C3%...ture_of_Aragon) and were enlarged with several more churches in 2001.

ALL these four towers have the same style (Mudejar). They were built by muslims that kept living there. So there you have full of Christian churches with a style that will remember the Muslim style.
And ALL there four towers have a gate in the middle. In fact one of them was used as an entrance to the city and was that one that took Diego to entry Teruel in that legend.
According to the legend, the Teruel lovers are in San Pedro church and you can visit it (not only them, but all the church, which worths a lot)

San Martin (besides the walls) and San Salvador (my favourite, indeed) are close to some churches

Santa Maria is the tower (and the name) of the cathedral.

San Pedro is the big church of Teruel lovers.

Today all those towers are in almost pedestrian areas... but with my car I have driven under San Salvador and San Martin towers!!!!

Today you will find only emergency traffic under San Salvador because the old city is under a pedestrian street planning... In one picture you will see people walking under those Human heritage towers.

I took the images from this thread. A forumer made a trip to the city and surroundings and took nice pictures.

I expect you will enjoy them

A complex with a shopping centre and over 200 homes is being built above the motorway at 3/E12, in the centre of Hämeenlinna, Finland.

Until now, the motorway has effectively cut the centre in two.

I once drove by (not through however :p) this one in Brussels:
https://maps.google.com/?ll=50.91538...155.12,,0,0.37

It is not unusual to see factory buildings running over streets, especially car manufacturing factories that consist of different "shops", so thy don't need to transport unfinished products from one shop to anoher over the public roads thus protecting it from the environment.

Technically yes, but the perception is different. It feels like you're just driving under a bridge. It doesn't feel like you're driving through a "wall", if you know what i mean

Barcelona (link):

This was supposed to be part of a motorway connecting Barcelona's inner ringroad with satellite towns north of the city (from 7:00 in my video).

This cool twin-tube tunnel through the old walls is the main entrance to Melilla's old town:

Valvet, Lund, Scania, Sweden, Scandinavia. The street Allhelgona Kyrkogata passes through two portals. The building the street traverses used to be a part of the towns' hospital:
