they are on SZR just before the entrance to Business Bay, so great visability and they are piling already on these. The trick is the changing effect of the glazing and lets hope emirates glass can get these right cos if the colour blend is not right they will look krap

well if anywhere there should be built a mile high tower its dubai. Hope it doesnt get in the way of the planes! it'll be interesting in a fire? I suppose the question does come to mind. Who in their right mind would want to live so high up? Also because there is SO much land in dubai / UAE why the need to build something so large? It doesnt make any sense.

That is just a vision from Atlanta's TVS Architects, not related to Dubai; it was just displayed on their stand on Cityscape Excibition, held earlier this week here in Dubai.

BTW, Dubai doesn't have much land.

What makes you think it has so much land? Also has it ever occured to you that building up rather than out is often better for social, economic and enviromental reasons. Dear dear, people don't half jump to conclusions sometimes.

The boxy twins are OK. I dont like the shape but I love the detailing on the sides. They look branches.

Love the glass wall. I never really liked Q1 - it didnt give me the wow factor but this one does.
