Chicago's version of "The Apprentice"
Have any of you watched that new show, which is similar to the apprentice, where a bunch of people compete to get a job in a major corporation? I forgot what it's called. Either way, I believe it comes on at 9pm on Fox on Sunday night. It is really interesting!
Not only that, but it takes place in Chicago, and has a lot of skyline shots. It really says a lot about Chicago that the 2nd "Apprentice-like" prime-time show with people trying to get a job at a top corporation takes place in Chicago. |

It's actually a mocking of the Apprentice if you are talking about the same show I am. "My Big Fat Obnoxious Boss" is the name I am thinking of. The contenstants compete by doing rediculous tasks that often have nothing to do with the job being contested. The millionare is actually an actor and likes to fuck with the contestants on a continual basis.
Like you said, lots of interesting skyline shots and views of the city. Really paints Chicago in a great light. |

Its just typical that New York gets the legitimate show and we get the show that mocks that legitimate show. It is like collecting the table scraps after the meal is over. I feel that is an apt analogy since "My Big Fat Obnoxious Boss" would probably not have existed without the sucess of "The Apprentice".

^I don't quite see it that way. It's not any less legitimate, it's just fun and entertainment--and a great satire. And it's prime time--and Chicago could use more of that.
Besides, correct me if I'm wrong, but there's still a big job in the end for the winner, right? So it's still legit Sure, no Regis Philban and a live band but who cares--that's cheesy, if you ask me. To tell you the truth, this show continues the tradition of Chicago "telling it like it is", whereas the NYC show is just a giant promotion pitch for Donald Trump. |

I didn't realize that there was really going to be a job for the winner? At any rate... I hate the show with a passion... it's just so stupid. But, you'd be dead wrong if you thought that I didn't watch it every week anyway
![]() I must say, they do a great job with the filming... we look amazing on the show. |

^ We do look great on the show. I think the thing is fuckin hilarious...you can't beat the boss firing paint balls at the contestants while they try to pull paper of the printer and make copies.
Whether you like the show or hate the show, anything that raises Chicago's visibility is a huge plus. |
