I have a weird question ....... Why do planes sometimes get taxed out like that? Like you can see the car (not sure about the name) pulling it along to either the runway or taxiway.

Still my favorite plane. In my opinion the best looking jet-aircraft.

I never knew Alitalia had a TU-154, or what's the story behind that ordeal?

Unfortenately they never had. It's just photoshopped. But it would have looked good.

it is cheaper and safer to move the plane on the airport with a pushback truck instead of starting the motors to move the plane.

If you want to be exact you got to say that there were 5 versions. I guess some don't count the convertible, a full passenger MD-11 with a large cargo door so it could easily be turned into cargo plane and back and forth.

You don't see this kind of version anymore on the planes that are currently in production. It has become much more difficult to get this kind of convertible version certified. The 747-400M Combi's also had this option, those could easily converted to a full passenger plane and back to a combi. But we will never see it on the 787 or the A350.

Well some sad news about the American 727. The flight testing has been delayed indefinitely due to a hole discovered in the aileron. They need to locate a spare one and that may take some time.

Certainly a treat to see an operational Boeing 727 in the year 2015.

It is a beauty and I took a few flights on them.

TU 154 and B 747. These two are unbeatable.
