Milestones

I was thinking for some time that it would be nice to have a milestone thread, a thread where you can post all major milestones regarding skyscrapers. This could be the start of a project, a tower that has reached the 50th floor or the 100th floor or 300m. Or a tower that has become the country's tallest. But also a 100th birthday, think of the Woolworth Building this year for exception.
This is also my 5000th post to start in a good way.

The first project is the Transbay Tower in San Francisco, it has officially broke ground today and will be 326m. http://blog.sfgate.com/cityinsider/2...jor-milestone/

I hope you people will post here.

Sorry but, what do you mean by milestone? I'm not related with the term.

ESB for it's height. The WTC Twin Towers for their innovative engineering and height. The Burj Khalifah for it's height.

A milestone is a significant event or stage in the progress or development of a project.

Transbay isn't exactly a milestone in skyscraper design.

this thread is for milestones of skyscrapers, not skyscraper-milestones. at first i also was a bit confused when i first saw the thread, but i think like this it is a good idea, because milestones for specific supertalls will happen more often, so the thread can be a bit more busy than if it was the other way around
